I agree, Jihad and Neocon are the two biggest offenders imo - it's like have Elrazur back but in stereo and with a 360 slant.

360 > PS3
i thought it was about ps3 fanboys
there's plenty to be annoyed about if you are a ps3 fanboy
*console was delayed, and even after all the delays graphically it hardly blows the 360 out of the water does it?
*console originally very expensive (£425 on release)
*Not that many decent games
*poor console sales (3rd place)
*expensive bluray
takes cover as flame throwers a lit
I flat out disagree with this:The Wii has less quality titles than the PS3 and is nearly as expensive as a Core 360, I already said that in the next 6-12 months there will likely be a surge of really decent games, but right now it's a desert for decent gaming. A good 80% of the Wii owners I know stopped playing it after about 2 months and are waiting for new titles to renew their interest.
This could be said about ANY console EVER. Almost every console has a long games drought after the initial few launch titles have been expended. This gen is no exception.Surely you must agree in that situation, it would have been a smarter move to wait 12-18 months for a decent library of games to start filtering through, and then pay the inevitably lower price for the console instead of paying launch price, only for the system to sit gathering dust for a year? That's what I'll be doing.
Your definition of fun maybe different to mine, but there are plenty of well reviewed and fun games on the Wii. As well as some exceptional ones. To name but a few:I'm all for 'different' when it comes to gaming, but 'different' still has to equal 'fun' and right now there are shedload of 'different' games, of which about 1% are also 'fun'.
Again i disagree. The sheer volume shifted accurately reflects the value of the system. This value is dictated by each and every consumer individually. A purchase is made when the perceived value is greater than the retail price. The people that are buying the system are doing so because they believe it is worth the money. Even just Wii sports justifies the price point for a significant amount of people.I wasn't suggesting that EVERYONE who's bought a Wii is an idiot, but the sheer volume that have been shifted don't currently reflect the value of the system, so there are a vast amount of people out there who've bought it simply to 'buy in' to nintendo's marketing.
You bought one because the price suited you and you personally felt that the games you were going to get would be worth the cost of the console right?
Well you know about games, you've done the research, your decision was based on fact.
I agree that they have marketed the item brilliantly, however, i would be willing to bet that the majority of the sales of the system are down entirely to word of mouth. I know lots of people that have bought a Wii after playing on a friends. This has nothing to do with Nintendo's marketing, but simply to do with the fact that the system is an absolute blast to play on. As has been said many times, Wii sports is the first video game that i have ever got my parents to play. It is just so accessible. What Nintendo have done, is made it a 'must have' item and marketed it towards traditionally non-gaming demographics, who don't know about gaming, don't do the research and decide based on the adverts alone.
Clever marketing, hats off to them for managing it.
I thought the term 'fan boy' meant they never saw a bad thing about their console? Therefore your list means **** for the fan boys.
It hasn't. The industry doesn't see them as rival consoles. The wii has a poor attachment rate for games, however the console sells in its millions, this is because it has attracted people who aren't interested in console gaming to get one for games like Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training or Wii Sports.
Nintendo could quite easily go and make a new console next year and release it.
Hardly, I don't really care about either anymore, only decent games coming out on the consoles this year for me is Mass Effect/Halo 3 [Multiplayer].I agree, Jihad and Neocon are the two biggest offenders imo

Too bad my 360 is going to break playing them probably.
actually Jihad it was a little unfair of me to tar you with the same brush as neocon. Your normally a complete PC fanboy or at least you try and talk people out of buying a PS3 to upgrade their PC instead!
Here we go again.
