Never read this thread before, but it nevers surprises me in this forum how some people just relish the opportunity to kick someone when they are down. I'm sure he realises what he's done and he is going to have to face the consequences of that. I'm also sure he wont do it again as a result.

Getting another lecture about it is useful how exactly?

All I will say is, unlucky, I hope it all works out for you and that you learn an important lesson from this.

All the best.

Don't worry mate I went through the same thing - 2*SP30s DVLA revoke your licence and you have to apply again.

Insurance wont be a problem its just another Traffic offence.

I repassed my full test within 30 days :)

Tis easy

I am a good driver..

You're 19 and have been caught speeding and driven up a One Way street the wrong way! Just because other people do it doesn't make it right you know...as for being lazy...

So, do the retest and then practice being a proper good driver :p Welcome to the School of Hard Knocks the best way of learning... ;)

got my letter through on tuesday and well i have till the end of tommorow then ive lost my licence got my app form for my provisional all wrote out gonna mail it tommorow woooo !!! started to get meself on me way

thanks again guys :D

Well enjoy the new 'improved' ;) Theory test. Have fun on your brushing up lessons and hopefully you pass first time again.

Oh and dont be such a retard again...:D

i didnt see one when i was last in bristol on an evening. took a turn off from the centre, heading down to the police station, completely oblivious to the buses only / no entry sign!
had a copper behind me, who pulled me over!

never used to be buses only :D

Had something like that.

Bus lane one direction, the other direction is cars, so this threw me, as I was trying to remember which way to go (first time driving from school to home).

Led to a police station on a roundabout.

Didn't realise until it was too late (no where to turn off by that time), luckily there weren't any police cars there, as I was just going the route my bus went (it is a properly stupid place for a bus lane. Absolutely no point in it, whatsoever), and didn't expect it, especially as it's only one direction.

It was such a relief when my 2 years passed, I think that's what helped me avoid momentary lapses in common sense during that time, that I escaped with a clean license. Now I'm free to drive like everyone else ;)

Hopefully you'll do better next time around!

My licence is almost 15 months old and the deterrent of the "Probation" period has made a massive difference to me. By the time the two years is up, it'll be second nature to take it easy.

(Not that I'd drive like a munter without it. It just adds extra caution.)

must just be me who doesnt see going past a no entry sign as the worlds biggest crime :o

I dont, not that ive ever done it. We have numerous roads in *** town i work where they are double lane, but go down to 1 lane on the junction. Lose the piece of concrete and its easily a both way road.

Wallsend high street for anyone that knows it.

gotta love the holier-than-thou attitude on these forums.

EVERYONE on this forum has sped at least once,
EVERYONE on this forum has probably parked where they shouldnt.
EVERYONE on this forum has done something that is against Road Law.

You were just unlucky to have been spotted by pc plod.

If you really despise the countrys licensing regs you could take it to court and plead that you will lose your job etc etc if you lose your licence, get a letter from your employer - assuming your not a student - saying you will get layed off. You will likely get a fine and told dont do it again.

Not like your known for offences really is it?

(This is were he tells us he is a convicted arsonist)

tried the court thing approachd the lawyer but its black and white and theres no point would have been a waste of money :( last day of driving and i have to go to work :(

Unlucky, pretty much everyone breaks road rules everyday, you just got collared. You can't be blamed going through a no entry, you were just reducing your carbon footprint. ;)
