doubt it.
I apologise for hi-jacking this thread it's just Wills system is pretty similar to mine. Does your Corsair 520W power your OC'd CPU, RAM and 2900XT?

Put it this way...
If it plays Bioshock at the moment, the chances are it will probably be fine for years to come, simply because games will require DX10 to really look pretty and the card is not DX10 capable. This means it will take none of the performance hit that the 8800/2900 series of cards will in such games.
If you want DX10 spangly bits, then you need a newer card.

975 as its ddr its actually running at 1950, it idles at 46 degrees, loads at 75 which is perfectly fine for this card.
It's not a 7950GT ... it's 2 of those in SLI and 1gig of DDR3 ...I know that it matches the 8800GTS in terms of performance more or less. I was hoping that it would though.
I also got a Quad core running at 3.4Ghz. I mainly play Supreme Commander, Bioshock ... and I will play Quake Wars and Crysis when they come out.
Well I have the same card (7950GX2) and BioShock runs pretty well for me. I use 1600x900 at the moment and get around 50+fps on average with max detail on and VSYNC on (most areas 60 but drops now and again).
The game is a bit much for my system at 1920x1080 (unless the vsync is off) which is what my TV is native but still looks pretty incredible esp compared to the 360 version.
As title says I understand what you say isnt anything confirmed but what are your thoughts ?
