Impulse buy

Picking this up later today (if i can fit it in around work), complete impulse purchase after being shown an advert on IRC, but its pretty cool and it was very very cheap so i thought why not?

Its an S430 (4.3 V8) with some AMG goodies. Very luxurious inside, cruises beautifully, gearbox seems very smooth. Needs a couple of parking scuff's sorting and a grille on the front replacing which fell out. Its got all the usual stuff you'd expect from an S, massaging air conditioned leather, cabin pre heating, soft close boot and doors, command nav, air suspension with a few settings.

Old man's car i know, bit of a strange car for a 22 year old, but i dont really care, always been a fan of big luxobarges.

I know what he means, its called "almandine black" on the original merc invoice, but in certain lights it looks a bit marooney. Looks good IRL though, i wouldnt have bought it if it looked iffy.

I thoguht it did look a little maroon like in the photos, but VRM'd it at work to check for sure if it was black.

I'm really not that bothered i just didnt see how it was relevent For those that are interested it was a shade over £8000 including quite a lot of accessories such as spare alloys and tyres etc.

It's relevant because you've posted a "my new car" thread which always leads to the question of "how much?", and even more so because you posted "very very cheap" which always intrigues people

It is very cool though - fit some hydraulics and VIP style alloys

Very nice daily driver. I think the colour suites it. Although your bound to get purple = gay comments.

Was gonna say, it looks slightly reddy/Purple.. but as i say it is rather nice and it is growing on me
