Impulse buy

Fantastic car, facelift lights and amg wheels make it look just right, leather looks in great condition too! How do you find the performance compared to the 330's you have had?

Excellent car at whatever price someone might pay for one, and you've got one where the owner has spared no expense which is a valuable asset in itself. Nice one.
Was driving a 2004 S320 CDi a couple of weeks back, the steering on them is sooooo light and like all smaller Mercs, you can drive it one-handed all day long even through the tightest of turns. It takes absolutely nothing out of you to drive this car, really is a pleasure to be in. The width of the thing is fantastic too:eek: You can sit in cruise control and there's so much room left & right of you for your legs to be away from the pedals. Not a good idea mind :) Congrats mate.

This is going to seem like a rather odd question or two, but I've never known an owner to ask before. Jez, what is the plastic trim around the base of the front seats like on your car? On mine it is the one thing that lets the build quality down as it feels like very cheap plastic and quite at odds with things like a suede roof lining. Also how effective is the seat ventilation on yours? Even on the highest setting, mine doesn't really provide all that much air, and I've always wondered if it is just the way it is or something is up on mine. The heating and massaging is quite effective so I'd expected stronger cooling fans.

Hi there

Well I don't know if its a good buy or not but it certainly looks like a lot of car for the money and for the kind of engine its running 80,000 miles should be nothing to it as long as its service intervals are upto date.

Put it this way it looks far higher value to average joe public than you paid for it. So if your trying to impress the older women, your gonna be in there. ;)

Is that what you do? What happens when you take them back to your parents house ;) lol

my god looks at all the buttons :D

just what I was thinking!

Agreed about the seat cooling, it works but it doesnt seem amazing, i thought it was just mine, good to hear its a general thing :p Heating and massaging is strong, so sounds the same as what you are experiencing.

The plastic round the base of the seats is ok, i hadnt noticed before i saw your post but i guess it is a bit under par. The rest of the build seems excellent quality though.

The seat ventilation you are experiencing is normal, it's not amazing. Jez/BigT do you have the dynamic seating in yours, now that is one of the best toys!

Serious lump of tin for the money, the king of the 'waft-o-matics'. If it stays fit, and none of those Merc electrics go bang it should be a great mile eating car. If anything does go wrong however, I'd sell a kidney, or ram raid a bank with it!

That car on a £14k job? Blimey man, you must love cars! :D

Hard to tell whether you are actually being serious or not :p

No idea whether i have that, what is dynamic seating? :) Its hard to imagine what more the seats could possibly do!

After looking again and thinking about, I cant believe it. Its the bargin of the century!

For such a large car, I bet it shifts.

If I turned up at work with that my uncle and his partner would have very long faces on them. It would fit right into place next to the 05' A8 and 52' Lexus SC430 :D

There is a dynamic button under the pulse one, when you go around sharp bends the seats side bolsters inflate to support you, very cool. It's standard on the AMG but options on all others.
