Free BMW M3 Racing game

Lol the handling in live for speed is superb no idea why you don't like it.This isn't at all like live for speed nowhere near as concise and smooth.

ISI engine and LFS engine have nothing at all to do with each other.

It's more likely that sim racing software is getting better at simulating car behaviour and therefore various sims will start to seem similar.

Eventually they should get it so close you won't know the difference from one sim to the next. That will be good, cos it means they'd have nailed it forever . . .

just tested the game out, it seems to be based on the live for speed game engine. car handles just like the ones do in that game too. load of crap. must be the beamer with the faulty rear subframe issues.
this game just makes me want to never touch a bmw.

Umm firstly it doesnt handle like LFS it handles like GTR2 if anything. And saying you prefer a game like Test Drive Unlimited automatically shows LFS isnt the right game for you anyway (and that you dont really know what you are talking about).

Love the game, but it runs like an absolute dog in vista for some reason. In GTR2 in XP with my x1900xt it ran smooth as anything at max, yet this runs so sloooow at max in vista with 8800gts.,....good game though

looks cack and plays the same

How comes your always turning left even though the car is going right in the bottom pic? Are all future BMW's NASCAR cars now?

I like this , very good for a freebie.

Best time I've got in Practice is 2:15.7 using a 360 pad. I seem to spend more time sideways then anything though :D.

Does anyone know any other games that use the same physics engine, or is this a one off?

Haven't tried it myself, but since it's by Blimey then GTR2 should feel pretty similar as they'll both be using the same tweaked GMotor game engine.

Wont work for me for some reason. When i run it gets as far as the actual in game, and then it stops rendering. No video at all. Either a black screen or the loading screen stays. And as much fun as listening to my car getting smashed up as i drive around, its hard to get a decent lap time.

Bit odd, gtr2 worked fine for me. Tried windowed mode but it lagged like hell... didnt even get to starting a race.

GTR2. Theres a new RACE (thats the name of the game) which is also similar so you might want to give that a go too.

I'll give it a try, doesn't look to bad for being free :) Only downloading at 120kbps :( so i have a 45 minute wait now...

I just gave this a proper go now and its got a dam fine physics engine imo. Oversteer, drifting, proper traction, lockups, etc

Its better game then Im good for so my first proper lap time is only 2:46, very poor I know but I was using a sidewinder joystick, which is not suited at all but slightly better then a keyboard :p

I'll have to have another go of race but I dont think its half as good or maybe I just like the m3

Anyone up for multiplayer?

Just seemed to get a much better time of 1.55, multiplayer track is not any shorter then single player practise I presume
