The problem with Ballastix seems to be durability when overclocked, so don't go too high. I'll be using them for the next system too, but just cause it can run at the speed a month or so doesn't mean it's perfect.
Just installed the Ballistix, they do 950MHz 4-4-4-12 and I've got them running at 1GHz 5-5-5-15 (high as I've gone), both 2.2V, and am very happy with that.
IMHO these are a bargain at the moment, much more so than the OcUK sticks, almost tempted to buy another set.
Hopefully getting a refund via RMA on the OcUK sticks.
(thanks cob
)Well my replacements were DOA
Sods law.
He was talking about the crucial ballistix wasn't he ? Although my set of them is great, running 800mhz 3338 very happily, im sure i could tighten the timings...just not too bothered about it lolDoes kinda suggest the title of my thread has some degree of truth, no?!
OK, I'm keeping mine at 1GHz 5-5-5-15 using 2.2V as suggested in EPP2 SPD - we'll see if they last...

Well I had to RMA 4 pairs of Ballistix in a little over 2 months, whilst my first pair of OcUK PC8500 have been running smoothly for over 3 months now, so the quality of both can be disputed or admired.
