3D Mark score, Any good?

I get just under 12k with Q6600 @ 3ghz, 8800GTS 640mb and 2GB ram, that extra CPU speed you have equals my extra oomph in the graphics card I suppose!

Just done all tests, now 11497

3D Mark 06 btw

Running Vista Ultimate

Breakdown

SM2 - 4698
HDR/SM£ - 4364
CPU - 5025

What do they all mean, are any of them under what you would expect?

Seems about right. You can probably squeeze a bit more out of your memory :)

Here's what I get with specs in sig and GPU @ 648/1027

Your CPU score is quite good :) I get about 250 less in Vista Ultimate 64 btw

Just speeded my RAM up to 4-4-4-12 and got

12525, added an extra 2 GB ram and got less?

Is this something to do with Vista 32bit not seeing all 4GB so it's not maximising the efficiency or something?

Cheers

You sure that 3dmark scores is fine? with my GTS at 650/1000 and a C2D at 3.4, might of been 3.2 at the time I got 11447 in XP, so around 11200 something in Vista.

**EDIT** Oh just noticed how old the post is guess it was at stock then lol.

what settings do you guys use for 3dmark 06? have just run the demo version with default settings and got nowjhere near your scores

I use default, make sure NVCP is at default aswell, try setting texture filtering (I think) to "High Performance"

yep, about right there. Got 10850 the other night on my rig under Vista which I was very impressed with. That was without the nvidia "performance" setting either.....;)

NVCB? That sounds like something to do with nVidia? I'm using a Radeon x1950 pro (which I should have mentioned I guess!?)

Yea haha NVCP is Nvidia Control Panel, now I think there is a similar option in CCC but I cant remember were it is, this it could be in all settings.

Well Ati settings are on high.

But still only getting around 5000.

Does everyone else run it at 1280x1024? That was the default.
