Well for these figures at least the PS3 is about 10 months old now. (NA)XBOX360 isn't doing that bad considering its nearly been out 2 years worldwide compared to what?, 6 months for the PS3.
At £400 the ps3 is out of financial reach of most people at the moment.
Once it hits ~£300 sales will start going through the roof.
It will take more than that I reckon, Sony need some "killer apps".
Problem with that is they will have missed another christmas, they need a killer app out before the end of this year.MGS4 is that killer app imo that will start shifting them.
Not at £400 for the console.MGS4 is that killer app imo that will start shifting them.

More like a Wii.By the time the console is more affordable it will have plenty.
The real sticking point at the moment is the price, the average kid wouldn't even be able to get one as a christmas present, so understandably they get a 360 instead.
Fixed it for ya
Also if you look at the JPN HW Chart it tells a different story:
Nintendo DS Lite - 77,488
Wii - 29,088
PSP - 15,564
PlayStation 2 - 13,360
PLAYSTATION 3 - 13,248
Xbox 360 - 1,286
Game Boy micro - 428
Game Boy Advance SP - 122
Wow, according to IGN since last November when the Wii and PS3 arrived, gamers have spent more of their cash on 360 software ($24.3 million) than the other two systems combined ($19.8 million).
surely tahts obvious cause there is already 10million xbox owners compared to a growing 10 million Wii and Ps3 owners
well maybe, but a lot of people on here cited Nintendo games being in the top 10 charts that as much software was being bought for them. This shows that the software adoption rate for 360 is a lot higher than the other two, something i've been saying for a while now.
It says that none of the consoles are selling well except for the DS..
I wonder if PS3 sales will pick up? 360's are selling 2-1 over PS3's a year after release.
