These cards are apparantly, according to a "board partner of ATI" spokesperson, "defective" 2900 XT's that couldn't reach the stock speeds stabily.

Yes limited, unstable? No! I have had the card running @ XT speeds under several loops of 3D mark 06 and no issues at all with artifacting or temps!I think ATi are trying to make sure people think the XT will be the faster
