The annoying thing for me is that we usually have a 360 at work but it got the 3 RLOD a couple of weeks back, otherwise I could be playing it now. There is a PS3 and a Wii but no one else seems to have brought in FIFA 08 for them

Yeah from what I've seen it's been given pretty decent reviews from companies you would have expected to bash it purely because it's Fifa.

Looks like some reviewers out there do actually do their job, and do play a game before reviewing it.... Shocking :eek:

From demo comments it seems the 360 has slightly better graphics.

But other than that I'm pretty sure they'd be the same game

how come the PS3 version was generally £10 more in most of the high street shops today :mad:

I still got it but I think I need to get into the whole pre-ordering lark :rolleyes:

My bro sent me this for my birthday only had a quick go as I'm installing a new gfx card today.
So far its superb and I can't wait for the 5 a side mode to be added soon.

Quite cool how it tells you real footbal fixtures coming up scrolling at the bottom of the screen. What controler congif do you guys use? I use New Alternative, seems the same as the PES config.

Fifa 08 is awesome, and thats comming from a Pro evo fanboy. Can't wait for the new PES tho!!!

I did on the demo, except the triggers didn't swap over. Do they definitely swap now? i.e. is RB run instead of RT?

mines coming in the post tommorow, im a long term pes player but this looks quite good so im giving it a go on the 360.

07 does exactly the same thing, and also tells you previous scores. There was also a news section for team news, transfer talk etc...

Music used to get interupted by footie news too...

Pretty sure thats all in 08, although the interupting news part was bloomin' annoying after awhile because they only updated the news about twice a week... So every 5 minutes you'd hear the same news article.... over and over again.

Don't have a Live Gold account any more, just a silver one... so I don't get any of that unfortunately

I can't get the triggers and bumpers to swap over. Whether it's "New Alt" or just "New" it's always RT for sprint which is just annoying.

Having said that I've spent a good part of the afternoon playing manager mode with Man Utd and enjoyed it tbh.

Coming from PES I'm finding the game hard to get to grips with and constantly have myself shouting out loud "That wouldn't of happened in PES" or "That would have been in the top corner on PES".

I have to play on Semi-Pro, I find it too hard otherwise, so I guess I have a long way to go to get up to a decent level like I am in PES.

Also finding the goalkeeps to be extremely good, and very hard to even beat them one on one, any tips?
