TDP of RV670 X = 50% less than R600

Just been reading about this on the inq (yes I know) and it makes for interesting reading. :)

At last the GFX companies are listening to the end user and making cards that require less power.

Apparently it has 4.1 but its no big deal.

AMD put R600 on a 55nm diet that shred more than 100W TDP - now the RV670 in its fastest form will eat around 120W less than fastest R600-based boards. As you might have guessed it, RV670 should feature all 320 superscalar shader units (64 fatties, 256 fast ones) present on R600, only two real changes being an updated API support - Shader Model 4.0 is now 4.1 (checkbox feature, don’t get swayed by this number)
