Good news, thats some power saving and temps should be greatly reduced, expect them to hit around the end of november.

i thought the 2950pro will have 240 stream processors and the xt will have 320 stream processors....
shouldn't theses cards have Shader Model 4.1? in this article (http://www.digitimes.com/mobos/a20071001PD211.html) it says Shader Model 4.0,
AMD put R600 on a 55nm diet that shred more than 100W TDP - now the RV670 in its fastest form will eat around 120W less than fastest R600-based boards. As you might have guessed it, RV670 should feature all 320 superscalar shader units (64 fatties, 256 fast ones) present on R600, only two real changes being an updated API support - Shader Model 4.0 is now 4.1 (checkbox feature, don’t get swayed by this number)
But will this new card beat the nvidia 8800 gtx
i might aswell just buy a GTX now then
mind i will wait till thursday to see if the come on offer
