My argument was that I was asked to pick up 2 other employees on the way to this new business centre, they had changed froma nice plush office in the centre of manchester, with secure parking, to some very dodgey place in rusholme, all to save a few bucks.

Had I have known where the meeting was I would have caught the train and got a taxi. The only reason I was there was at the say so of my boss.

Granted it was still very good of him to pay up, his first offer was £300, I said I wasnt happy with that, as my old nan used to say, "you dont ask, you dont get"
 
Left the key in the ignition on the street with the radio still in on a council estate - skipped a few beats when i went to start the car :)

But you should have taken it with you and the phone, if they had broken in you would only have had to replace the window, so I would have told you to sod off for being lazy like you said you was.
 
Same happened to my mate in Manchester a couple of months ago but luckily he carries his sat nav with him including the sucker, so he had a broken window and a damaged glovebox because he used to lock it even though there was nothing valuable in it. However they managed to get away with his workmate's sat nav which he had left in the boot (hatchback). They must have been watching them as they were checking in a travel lodge or such a hotel.
