I wonder, perhaps part of it is down to the usually shoddy service which has now been exacerbated by them deciding to take strike action which few people agree with?

Tbh, I'm jealous of the fact they CAN strike. When other underpaid sectors really can't - or wouldn't. Nurses spring to mind.

I would imagine that's a big part of the issue. Combine that with dislike of militant behaviour of the union and the attacks by Workers in this thread on those who break the strike and those who don't agree with them really don't make a case for those against the strikers being mistaken.

I hope they all bloody lose their jobs, the scum! We have quite a few things that are supposed to be arriving this weekend, but now we'll have to wait until sometime next week!

Perhaps someone from the Post Office can explain just what we, the paying customer, have paid for over this weekend and can we get a refund?

It's not the post office that caused the strike, it's the union, so I'd hope compensation claims should be directed to them.

Striking is all well and good, but anyone who strikes should have to accept the consequences of their actions.

My behalf? How the hell can it be bad planning on my behalf when I'm the one expecting the mail? No wonder your Company is so screwed up!

you even iterated that you were "the paying customer". Now you're saying it's got nothing to do with you?

You're saying you paid for it in so far as asking for a refund. Hence you must have organised it.

No, I sent the money to cover postage to my mate ages ages. It's he who's posted the items, I didn't know they were arriving this weekend until about 10:00 this morning.

I'm with the strikers. Some guy on the Jeremy Vine show was saying how he couldn't give a hoots about pay but was striking because of the changes to his terms and conditions whereby now he has to go back to work after he's finished his rounds. If a posty finishes his round why shouldn't he go home? Explain to me how it benefits me, the customer, if my mail gets delivered at 10am instead of 7am?

And there's your typical RM workers attitude right there ... "we don't care"

Okay 'I live in a perfect world' who do I get my mail off? The dustbin man!

I have worked around the strike as I’ve got a finance form due which needs sorting out, Bit of common sense doesn’t go a miss!
