Royal Mail Strike Action

no they really arent, you're just more big headed than i am, making you think your job is more skillful

it's not really that little a thing considering it's been 100% of my available working life so far, and i never said i had achieved anything, i'm just saying two years in a **** poor job like mine gives you a little perspective (how long have you been a posty for? 6 months?)

i'd get fired to quickly. why you ask? because i couldn't put up with little bigotted **** heads like you.

so because of the job i have you seem to think i am a no good council estate school drop out...wow...you are shallow and conceited

What makes you think I'm a Postman? because I'm defending their position? lol @ you.

I was a postman, briefly, around 10 years ago, I enjoyed it at the time, much more than the 2 years spent in a supermarket (when, iirc, I was around your age). The rest of your jabberings suggest you've not even read my posts, never mind comprehend them.

Are you a postie?

Why would my local guy be on £10k more than most? Manager? Driver? *shrugs shoulders*.

Yes I am a postie, he can’t be unless he’s a manager, I get a fair bit more than £160 P/w ;) which is the base pay, let’s say it’s over £270 an I can’t see him being a postie on that wage! that would be a stupid amount of hours worked got to be a manager of some sort, or simply put lies :D

you've lost me, where did I say I'm overworked and underpaid?

If you think working more than 40 hours a week or not getting your wages on time is a 'problem' you've got a wake up call in the pipeline sonny.

I may have been misapplying my comments to the wrong group of people. Replace the words "you" and "you're" with things like "people" and "they're".

Missed my special delivery item by 20 minutes!
Will the collection offices be open tomorrow? If not i guess i will have to wait :(.

so what your saying is, with limited time spent as a posty you think you can comment on it like king of the posties, and you also say you found it more enjoyable than shelf stacking...so my job is worse...ergo being a postman isn't that bad...so what are they complaining about

I'm with Jock Dodds on this one. I'm not sure you've read any of his posts, or at least understood them.

Fully support the action :)

Always take the strikers sarnies and drinks.

Getting a bit costly lately though :D

I bet you're one of those people who got a Dukes of Hazzard style airhorn installed on your car just so you could "toot" those lazy firemen when they couldn't be bothered to work.

Who said anything was accepted, or wise? An assumption on your part..

I would have said that your job is relevant, since the discussion was on about skilled/unskilled work at one point.
you're right, but I'm trying to swerve away from a 'my job is better than yours' piddling competion

Indeed, gone a bit wayward somewhat.
