In my local village today around 30mins ago, i drove past our local monument to the World War 2 hero's and its been smashed up, spray painted and mounts of dirt dug up and thrown about.

Why on earth would anyone want to do such a thing? Is this what they died for? Some 15-18 year olds destroying our hero's place of rest?

They died for what we have today, they faught to save there famillies and ours. Why does this world not respect that fact?

God help us, because i think im loosing all the faith i have

...and if caught they'll get no more than a slap on the wrist! Should lock the scum up for 10 years minimum for that!

How do you know it was 15-18 year olds? Or are you just speculating?

Im hoping to god anyone over the age of 18 knows the difference between whats morally right and damn right barbaric. There are somethings in life you just do not do, and this is one of them.

I'm sorry, but you cant judge people by their age in this situation. How do you know it wasn't a group of middle-aged communist Nazis?

What the ****

Are these people stupid?

WITHOUT THE SOLDIERS WHO FOUGHT IN THE WARS OUR COUNTRY WOULD BE A VERY DIFFERENT PLACE

SCUM

Stab em

The village is small so everyone knows each other. Its like Royston Vasey (sp?). We havent had a single crime in 8 years until 2 years ago when more people started to move in and large gangs of teenagers started to hang around.

Sure it's not called Sandford? :p

Are kids at school even taught about this stuff anymore?

I read recently there thinking about not teaching kids about World War 2 and Churchill. Moving on with the times they call it.

I lost 2 great grandads and a great grandma in WW2, i'll make sure my familly never forgets, my kids will know to respect them.

The only thing I was taught at secondary school (grammar!) was from 1900+
As much as we should know about the war etc, I really don't think its right to spend 2 whole years studying the Cold War, WW1 and WW2. What about 'old' history, like the Roman Empire etc? :(

You do that in year 7, 8 and 9

GCSE's and such should be about the war
