i used to use shattered crystal too, was theh best of a few i tried.

i kinda miss this game looking at screenies, back in the eraly days when i was flying caldari frigs with modulated lasers cos i was a n00b and didnt know what the hell i was doing lol
all good fun!! i miss my taranis.

yea its really nice graphics on all accounts for the size of the game. you can play it on a pretty basic spec machine and it'll still give you 25fps and look beautiful

just a quick question, which part of the universe is the best to make money doing stuff? can i trade? im at work at the moment.. i'll read the tut when i get home.

Theres no one area, the eve universe is huge!!
Khandid was good a while ago if you were an established producer/supplier due to the big bob war (9months ago), but a lot of traders jumped on it quick.
i used to hang around verge vendor/syndicate, piwating, YARR! When the new regions opened, GSKW-3 was a good spot if I remember right, you could make some nice money ratting with a raven and collectiong the ore dropped, no bounty, just pure ores which could be precessed and sold - that area is probably controlled now as that was several months ago.
a lot of the outer regions are restricted in someways to certain allinaces/corps. NBSI = Not Blue Shoot It, basically if your not in their alliance/corp then you'll show red to them and get shot down. you can make good money in empire, but its really hard work as you'll be competing with thousands of others for trading and producing. the real money is make outside of empire, but the comes with its own risks, mostly pirates and gankers/gate camps.
best thing i ever did was get into a low sec/0.0 corp, they usually have mining ops & mission running to raise funds for pvp action.
eves best played as a team, though once you have expeience solo can be fun too (insert Arazu with rails & covert ops cloak)

theres tones of guides to mining & trading in eve, google is your friend! So is your scanner and always keep an eye on Local when outside empire space!

thanks dude! i think the 14 day trial should be extended to 30 days. :p home now so i'll see what i can do :)

lol ... lovely lag monsters!

also, once you have been playing for a couple of months and the test server has been updated to include your account, you'll be able to install as 2nd client that will allow you to play in singularity - the eve test server. here there are several areas designated to different classes of ship, where you can practice your setups & skills against others. the great thing is everything costs 100ISK, everytime you get killed you get more ISK for free so its unlimited play really, however it is just a test server, non of what happens there makes any difference to normal server, and vice versa. certain rules apply, like no pod killing, if someone says stop then you stop etc. its a great place to try new stuff out before going at it in the live server and costing valueble iskies.

after 14 days you'll be hooked!!

does everyone use shatered crystal for their game time codes and is it still cheaper?

Shameless promotion here. But if you are using Shattered crystal, use my affiliate link (same price): http://www.shatteredcrystal.com/code.php/eve_online/~478

Here is the standard EVE Online European (and UK) subscription rates for credit card users:

Europe
Cost/month* Total cost*
1-month-plan € 14.95 € 14.95
3-month-plan € 12.95 € 38.85
6-month-plan € 11.95 € 71.70
12-month-plan € 10.95 € 131.40
* VAT included

1 month paying by credit card = £10.34 per month
3 months paying by credit card= £8.95 per month, or £26.87 in total

If you buy timecards at Shattered Crystal then is costs:

1 month costs $14.99. This = £7.33 per month
3 months costs $38.99. This = £6.36 per month, or £19.08 in total
This is BY FAR the cheapest option around.

Even if you pay for a whole year by normal subscription (€ 131.40) that still works out at £7.57, which is more expensive than the 3 month (90 day) Shattered Crystal option.

*Obviously 90 days /= 30 months excatly, but it still works out cheaper. I used all rates from http://www.xe.com/ucc

soon as a big spawn arrives it all goes pretty pear shaped for me, especially if it's a group of us there too.

Andy :(
