Hey everyone. I have a Tuniq Tower and am going to start overclocking very soon. Just wanting to know if you run the cooler at a constant 100% speed when clocking? Is it loud and the such?

Would you recommend using the speed conroller that comes with the cooler? I dont have it in atm but will install it if its a good piece of kit..

I have my Tuniq slowed down a little using the supplied controller , I find it too noisey at 100% 2200rpm ( 82 CFM )
I run mine at 1800rpm on my q6600 @ 3.28GHz and it runs pretty cool
100% usage on all cores gives a temp of about 60deg

the stock cooler that comes with the TT is noisy as, lots of 'whisp' as the airs blows through the fins. i swapped mine for an amber, might swap back as the amber isnt as good as the stock one. fair few degrese lower with the stock.

Its quiet on low-medium, and gives decent cooling performance. I swopped my fan for a Silent 120mm fan and ran it directly to the CPU fan header on the mobo. Even at top revs its inaudible.

I ran my Tuniq's fan at full speed when stress testing with Orthos etc if temps were too high but for normal use I have it on it's lowest speed making it virtually silent. The temp difference between lowest and highest fan speed on my setup is ~10c. :)

Just ordered a 120mm PWM for mine so i can control from my IP35 Pro, unfortunately its stuck in the post so i'll probably get it about christmas

I've got mine running 100% at all time, and yes it is quite noisy but when I installed a different fan it gives out a constant rattling noise so am now back with the stock fan.

As said it's silent when switched to medium - low RPM but the fan controller nob is too big it doesn't fit the PCI slot of my case!!! And without the fan controller it will just run at 100%...

Remove the knob to fit it?!

Is too loud for me on 100% so i have it near the middle and its nice and quiet, still keeps the CPU real cool though.

I run my fan direct to a fan controller, which means you don't have to mess about with the knob at the back of the PC.

I still find it noisier than most 120mm fans even at 5v (I'm very keen on running a near silent set up). I experimented by reversing the fan, as well as the exhaust fan on the case, so now the case fan blows into the Tuniq, and the Tuniq fan blows back into the front of the case - odd I know. This has produced about a further 6C drop in Core temps, so now, I switch the fan off for normal duties (temps are in the 40s), and onto low when gaming (temps are in the 50s)... Job done.
