Then if it happened to be a 4Ohm (worst case) rating when the speakers are 8, you're looking at 16W into 8 Ohms.

EDIT: As it's 6, and most amps are rated for their power at 8, you're looking more like 25W per channel at 8 Ohms with the similar distortion level adjusted by james.
 
Well to get back to the original question....
Who ever told you your setup was crap, was telling the truth....thank them, buy them a drink for being honest with you.

Advise, as requested......
If YOU like it, use it and shut posting crap on Forums.
If you don't, listen to the advise already given..... and buy a new one.
Ignore specs and use your ears.

Seriously please go and try out proper hi-fi gear - then you'll realise why everyone thinks you're being a little silly.

Just out of curiosity, I thought I'd look up how Nad rate their 320BEE amp.

Nad claim 50watts at 0.03% distortion, and peak output of upto 160watts into 4 ohms.

Frankly, the claims in your manual are laughable, but if you ever wish to run a side by side dem, I'm more than happy to let you run it against mine.
After all, I only have three way speakers and based upon your stated claims, less power.
 
Apologies - Just noticed I'm talking gibberish with regards to THD. Misread/misunderstood james.miller's post.

The subwoofer power is fairly irrelevant, as the power rating should be over the full range - so this can be (all but) discounted. So it's 37W per channel, 6 Ohm, 0.3% THD.

Most amps are quote for their RMS power at 8 Ohm, which (using Power Transfer theorem) is theoretically 25W (but practically is likely to be lower).

Then this RMS power rating might just be taken at one value, rather than across the range. This trick is used to inflate actual power rating by 20-25%, bringing it down to below 20W.

Then take into account the rather high THD level this is quoted at (usually well below 0.1%), and you're down to well below 20W. Thus the original guess of 10W/channel wasn't actually too far out.

asim you can carry on how much you like, but you've got a midi boombox. Stop trying to kid other people what you have is "quality"

I had a Midi system, around £500 and it was awful. Boomy distorted bass, when I pushed it just broke up and went all harsh. Only when upgraded to seperates did I realise what I had was POS.

You are no different.
