its just a default check for when your away or working.
it would check every so often to see if the key or download is released.

you can manualy update it. every click if you wanted. and sit there all day.

it wont be unlocked for awhile yet.
they would want everyone to download it first and be ready.

unlike other demo's... cough... COD4...

ah i see. so whats the deal when you want to close the manager. it says in not so many words that you will lose queue position. is this true

well yes. because you have closed the program which is waiting to update for the key. and since many are waiting for it. there will be a queue to download it. and some downloads require first come first served.

same with beta keys.

its only saying that to make you keep it open if your away to work. so it can update and download itself.

otherwise you can take it away, and just wait yourself if your there.

My download manager says eta on the date, 11 hours on the next check. Anyone know if the demo is supposed to be out for a certain time, like COD4 was 6pm?

One level isn’t enough Ageia needed to add new effects toughout the game like GRAW2. Just offloading physics to the PPU is to little to late. As good an idea as a PPU is Ageia really messed up the software implantation and marketing of it.

UT3 should have had stuff like Warmonger.

Apparently theres talk of people having it and playing it as we speak, some people over at the epic forums have it. Can't find a link or anything though.

It set it to download first thing this morning, left it for 20 mins and it had downloaded. Just waiting for it to activate.

No, if you download via fileplanet you still have to wait for it to be unlocked.

Well it's a MP demo only, the game runs really smooth with everything maxed out at 1680x1050 at 62 frames.. its capped at 60 as far as i know..
but actually there are not many gfx options in the demo anyway.. just resolution and few others..
