Call of duty 4 demo out today?!

I have not played the demo yet and was wondering how good or tactical the combat is. I enjoyed the first COD but ended hating the second one which I never finished because it was on-rails endless spawning fairground Kraut shooting gallery. Please someone tell me that COD4 is nothing like it.

I agree but maybe not totally down especially in a game like COD4 where the action is all the time mostly. I reckon if you could just hold the gun half down when not in fire mode.
 
Just got though playing the demo, had everything maxed @ 1680x1050 and ran smooth as butter. Amazing Game play I think, so intense, will definitely be buying it on its release.

It's exactly like it. The only difference is the graphics
 
Just finished it. Really fun and exciting. Thought it could have been longer but it was long enough to show me the weapons and the graphics. Will definetly be buying this now.
 
Yeh, just finished playing the demo, really good, graphics are superb and the gameplay is fun, quite similar to MOH:Airborne, but still a good game!

Well from the demo it looks like it. The full game might have missions which aren't on rails. Don't put it down for this though! Some games have to be like this. If you want a sand box game, get crysis.

i agree, and i dont mind being led around the game as long as the storyline is good, i.e. hl2, hopefully the cod4 story should be better than the ww2 setting weve seen so many times.

Got the D/L last night, just played it and absolutely loved it. All the sliders etc to max and my rig ate it for breakfast :)

Cant wait for the final build for the proper test :cool:
 
Just completed the demo,superb game
I think the time has come to upgrade my 7800gs agp card though,ran game at 1280x960 and it struggled at times!!!
