UT3 Demo - Friday

I cant use any other res other than 1680x1050, all the other res i try makes my monitor go wonkey :(
Any idea how to sort this? its not just this game but all games i have to edit the .ini before i can even start the games or the monitor goes out of sync?

Nice vid mate, i played that map its sweet.......pity my fps was a bit jittery tho due to my high res :/

Graphics are nice but a bit washed out. As with every UT release, gameplay, weapons and vehciles to a certain extent are exactly the same as the previous.
Having the same trouble connecting to servers as with all the other UT games. Lots of timeout/no-connect and mis-reporting server is full, not to mention very few (and laggy) servers.
Hopefully some decent dedicated servers will appear so I can actually play against humans.

Its nothing like past ut games, its somewhat like ut but is quite different in the way itplays. Online play sucks balls though, laggy crappy servers
 
Wow... the graphics on this are bloody stunning, and that's even on a 26" HDTV running at 720p on a demo that only lets you set medium detail... I am seriously impressed! Can't wait for the final game to be released... and I wish I hadn't managed to get my HDTV working on it... because I now want a huge monitor.

I can't wait to get this game, classic UT gameplay at it's best! :D

Only Medium detail you sure? :eek:

I just set everything to 5 which is max, and post-processing on Insane.

I can't wait to start playing this @ 1920x1080 on my 37" :D

i hope it is a great game and i was giving my opinion not whinging or moaning, them screenshots are nothing special. in fact i'll say it again they are awfull and milky. gfx mean nothing to me in a game tbh.

look back in a few months look at them pics and you might argree.
 
Yup, the demo IS with lower textures

"Max texture size was reduced for size reasons... it already weighs in at ~750 MByte as is"

But as many have said, it looks stunning anyway

While it's nice to see how this runs, and looks, it's another terrible demo release (coming off of the CoD fiasco yesterday) there's pretty much no servers you can connect to and the ones you manage to get connect to are far too laggy to play.

The whole UI feels like it was ripped right out of the console versions.

Heh in my haste I hadn't fiddled with the settings, and im sure I read that the demo allowed medium settings max (I still think that it's capped to lower settings)... but I went in, changed to 5, and it now looks even better.

Truly amazing looking game, the detail is ****** exquisite.

i really hope your not including me with this comment , i just stating what i see , its a ut beta demo thread not ALL the replies will be singing the games prasises , FWIW i am redonwloading the demo and will ry it again , but i dont like this 5 details scales , what happened to max high med low?

And i cant understand why demos limit the details to med now adays? at 700mg its hardly a big demo , most run into 1.4 gb now?
