I know Kate and Leon ( and others ) liked it but I saw a TV prog which referred to it as the "worst city in Europe" so it looks like it may be a matter of personal taste

Am going to Poland next weekend to see some family, same weekend as Wisla vs Cracovia, hoping to get some tickets

Will mean about a 300 mile drive

But the atmosphere will be absolutely insane.

Both Krakow and Warsaw are great, but Gdansk, Poznan or even Wroclaw are awesome as they are less touristy

I'm really suprised at that actually. Have they never been to Blackpool? :eek:

My dentist is Polish, and he much prefers Krakow. He said that Warsaw is "just another big city".

It's probably best looking on Trip Advisor and deciding for yourself which you prefer the look of.
