Stupid Sapphire I hate them and their RMA's

I won't accept ill go postal lol, no really ill go mental trading standards, anybody who will give them the needle, and the web will be my house with my story ill make sure I get what's due or they get a whole heap of pain in the way of complaints, questions and postings on every forum regarding gfx cards about their state of play when it comes to RMA service.
 
Glad you got sorted. Why did you keep emailing though? I would have just phoned them up?
 
I got a x1950xtx instead of the x1900xtx I rma'd so not sure if I got a good deal or not but at least I have a card now. The cooler looks better though, more substantial.
 
How much faster is that ? Like an extr 5 fps? Gues its better then noting. Wonder if you could have just got a refund on what you orginally paid. Probably could have bougth a GTS with it if you bought it at the start. OR at least a refund of current value.
 
Well it looks like you got a good deal in the end so nice1.
Better than for some Nvidia peoples who posted getting newer but slower cards for the RMA's.
 
8600gt out of my sons machine, good budget card, though got tons of flack from hacked off seven year old. Not sure how fast the 1950 is compared to the 1900.

LOL i bet you sure did , as my 11yr old sons pc is made up of my old upgrade parts,, and i can just imagine him if i were to borrow back a part again for 10 weeks :D:D
 
Bought it when the 1950's were still about 140 and the 8600gt was only 80 anyhow he would have needed a new psu for a 1950 and I got the mobo,mem 2gig and chip a64 3000+ for nothing off a mate and gave my mate the xp2600 mobo mem and a ti4600 to build one for his brother just for browsing
 
I thought they needed uber amps, and the psu I used was a thermalright 560w purepower with no pcie connectors on so I played safe and just got a 8600gt. Anyhow going to be doing a new build when the next line of cards are out so my boy will end up with the 1950xtx in fact most of my current rig. Saying tht though found the 8600 a nice card for the money.
 
Oh hell nooooooooooo, the x1950xtx is being all stupid, for the last three days whenever i turn on my machine the fan is spining up to some stupid speed and never slowing down, it whines like a banshee I have never heared such a racket from a gfx card. The only way to get it to just rev a little then drop off to nice and quiet like it should do is to turn off the mains and try again and again and gain until it starts up ok. When it dose start ok its running fine in games and stuff, cod4 crysis ect ect. Anyone had this problem could the fan controller be dodgey?
