I pitch to Peter Jones in 12 days

If im reading this right. You have Patented the Idea but have not yet realsed it? If so i think you should ASAP if this will really help people like you said it would.

That is absolutely fantastic!

All that there is to say is well done. You're gaining invaluable experience, which is leading you towards a goal. What an awesome position to be in.

The only thing to remember though (as said above), is that you don't want to look back in twenty years, with more money than God but think "God.. I wish I had live more when I was a teenager". But judging from what has transpired, you appear to have had a somewhat eventful life. ;)

Congratulations, and I wish you all the best in the future.

When your big and successful you can say lose, loos.

Who gives a ****. :)

Best of luck!

p.s. Take extra care with copyright, it's not just proving you have it but you must be able to prove you got it first.

Hoover tried to rip off Dyson, thankfully he kicked their ass. :D

I can say that on average I am at least 4 years ahead of anyone I know from my year.

That's quite a statement. Only thing that really caught my eye to be honest. How exactly would someone calculate this?

You say your friends are all going to university. If this is true, and your plans don't work out quite how you'd hope them to, aren't you going to be the one four years "behind"?

Very odd thing to say I thought.

Odd? nope... bold yes

My friends were doing A levels at the same as me, yet I was devising a killer business plans and pitching to some of the finest entrepreneurs.

For instance, They left for uni, while I had a full time career at the same age... a job which I can see myself in for years to come. The perfect job suited to me. Whereas... my friends will be at uni for 3 years, spend a year finding the job they want and then their journey starts.

Intellectually and experience wise, I am 4 years ahead or even more in comparison to some :)

Right then, Gord, i want a picture of you with a loaf of bread on your head! ;) :D

Good to hear things are going well for you Booner! Good on you chap! :D

Im failing to see what's so fantastic about Booner?. To me he seems like another pitcher that has been on Dragons Den, he now has some other idea, if he had the cash to support his original idea which I believe he did (did he not recieve investment from one of the dragons?), he would already be developing the product and getting ready to market it. Im confused.

Kudos to the lad though and good luck for the future.

No no, just odd. Very odd to say something like that in fact. You haven't, from what I can tell from your posts, actually DONE anything yet. Just sitting on this idea you have and running a web business.

I think you're trying too hard to play the part of young entrepreneur (overly confident, cocky, assertive). I've seen it all before and it counts for nothing.

Well, that's just my opinion of course. I do hope you 'make it', but setting yourself apart from your peers in this manner won't do you any favours. And this intellectual advantage you apparantly have over your friends certainly isn't coming across in your posts.

hmmm, special? Do I really need to be special to post about a success? I am not saying I am super human or anything, just sharing an experience... would it make the thread better if I said I was a gay, black, muslim in a wheelcheer with ginger hair and a turbine on my head (think I have covered all the stereotypes)?

And for the record, what made me different to the graduates i was facing, was the fact that I was 17 at the time and was investment ready.

Whats your problem? Can a guy not rest from a days work without having to prove that I am intellectually advanced over my peers on an internet forum? I don't need to prove anything to you and infact one of the lesser confident people that has finally found success and inner confidence after much doubt from teachers during my school years.

To say that I haven't done anything would be the biggest understatement in the thread. I have proved that young people are investment ready and can be treated seriously among older and wiser business people. I also have made my family and my granddad proud by pitching at a fairly youthful age to one of the better entrepreneurs out there. An opportunity many can't say that they will ever come close to. I also provide many young people with a starting advantage by providing help and support with job opportunities for those who want the chance.

I am slightly insulted with that remark and don't feel the need to defend myself so appologies as I won't continue to.

So what was our idea why aren't you selling it/making/whatever people do with ideas these days.

Agreed that's the feeling I get and what I notice also.

The process is very complex for a medical product. There are lots of tests and quality standards it must meet (BSI for example) which fall beyond my current skill set and abilities, hence why I am looking for a medical firm to help pick up where I left off really. The idea is protected to a certain degree, but further protection can takes years of patenting and must adhere to many examinations to make sure it doesn't catch fire, cut people, obstruct etc

To keep my current opportunity of career, bandwork, social life and family together - it's just a bridge too far until I am settled. I am no superman :p

So you have set up a website which IMO looks pretty average and claim this is a new business. Anyone can do this I have friends your age running businesses, I really can't see why you stand out from everyone else. Sorry but nothing is being put in my face right away that is making you stand out from the crowd here . I do hope you succeed though ;)

My problem? I have none with you. Why are you going on the defensive so suddenly? Is that how you react to someone that questions what you're saying or doing? I'm sure the "dragons" wouldn't appreciate that. ;)

All i'm doing is trying to understand what you've done for you to be posting in the manner your are (see previous post). You went on a TV show with your idea and a year later you're still sitting on it - yet making yourself sound like something has actually happened; which again I can't see anything in your posts to back this up. Perhaps you could clarify.

Just to add; I think it's genuinely great that you've done what you have and made your family proud.

no no, that isn't my website... that is my companies new website (under a refurbishment of design - they are coders, not designers) But the tool itself is revolutionary in our marketplace, I helped along with it. not just anybody could make that, it is the produce of 10 years work in the industry. But it's irrelevant as its not MY produce :) I feel that you have got the wrong end of the stick.

And who said that I am standing out from the rest? that isn't my intention...I originally posted a year ago about a potential opportunity and this is my follow up to its success.
