Pro Evo 2007 News (PS3 and 360)

My online record was pretty good last time, 160 games, 105 wins, 30 draws, 25 defeats, so not too shabby. Highlight was coming from 2-1 down to win 3-2 with 10 mins to go against a guy ranked about 100th :)
 
I can't remember my stats as I've sold it now. For all the people on my FL I think only a couple from here were higher ranked. Davey was defo one and wedgie was top if IIRC.

I stopped when I got the 100 wins. I preferred to play people on my FL. I will only play ranked this time for as long as it takes to get the ranked achievements.

It will probably be about all I play for a month :)

I stopped pretty much as soon as I got the 100 wins as well, got bored of all the pause cheaters, would have had a 40 or so winning streak if it wasn't for one of those *****.

Last I checked I was still well in the top 1500, which Isn't too bad considering I've not played a ranked game since december.

When I first started playing ranked matches my online record was very good, but then my brother started playing whilst I was at work and managed to ruin it!

I then just got to 100 wins and only played non-ranked from then on. Was probably the way to go with all the pause cheaters at the time.

I was never the best on 5 or 6, I didn't enjoy them enough to put the time into them, wish I could have played you on 4 or 2. ;)

Pro Evo 4, I'd love to play you at that, what a game it was, best of the lot.

1 on 1 with the keeper I used to chip it over him every time. :D

A filter would have been nice too. More details on the players record before playing would also be an improvement.

Wish you would make your mind up, anyway the search does not show those ingame, if you do find that then its just unlucky someone else must have got in there before u, and when you challenge someone you can see their network rating, points, games played, avg goals for and against, wins, losses, win %, disconnects, not quite sure what else you would need to see more off? In all honestly sounds like you have not even played it online.
 
The online player seach on PES 6 was fine. I always used quick ranked match and found a player within 5-10 seconds most times. If it was late at night/early morning it might take a couple of goes but no longer than 20 seconds or so.

i've read the exact opposite, that the PS3 version is worse so it doesn't surprise me.

it's the PS2 all over again, harder to program but more powerful blah blah blah.

What do you mean make my mind up. I always said the problem was the lobby/search system?
As for it not showing those in game... of course it does. It comes up with loads of football icons, this is before they are even bar charts, so it does show in game ones. It really wouldn't be hard to add a little bit of code for an automatic filter to remove them so you never see them and as a result, always see empty ones.
And yes, when you challenge someone you see their stats. I never said you didn't. What I did say I wanted was the ability to see them BEFORE I challenge them. Did you even read my post?

As for not playing it online... unfortunately I have.

Well it seems the shambolic things you talk about keep changing with each post, but maybe you are right you can see some in game and it shows you they are in game, so why would you click on them?, it only shows them ingame if they started just as you searched really. And you can see those stats before you challenge someone, go to player profile.

Anyway I still don't see how you can describe it as shambolic, which suggests its a mess of confusion and too hard to get a game, when clearly that is not the case.
 
No, what I'm saying is that whoever made it spent about 1 week at coding school. I expect more, especially from what 2K sports and EA sports all offer in their online searches.
 
Why Konami aren't using PSN is beyond me.

The online structure is setup so that they don't have to have logins. Are they just being lazy and copying the PC / PS2 code over because they can't be bothered doing new coding for online?

If they are copying it over, is there the possible chance of groups on the PS3 version or tournaments? I'm sure I read that 2on2 was definitely not in though :/
