Micheal Clayton
Resident Evil , Extinction
The Kingdom
Stardust.
The Departed (On sky)
ratatouie <-- I know its not spelt like this.

Loved them all. The kingdom got a little heavy at times, and I was suprised they got away with so much. Stardust is excellent.

My fav of all has to be Resident evil. I love people getting shot in the teeth and head I sit there thinking I could do that! and the term how do you like being fed apples comes to mind.

Backdoor bandits 12 oh wait.....

:D

Best 2 films Ive seen this year:
Blades of Glory (better than dodgeball and Ron Burgandy)
300 (the best action flick Ive seen in the last few years)

Other good movies:
Spiderman3 (great CGI; love the fight scenes)
Next (very underated movie; time travel with a twist)
Vacancy
TMNT (one of the few animated movies that I have liked)
Ghost Rider (felt a lot shorter than 2hrs, which is a good thing)
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (I wish they had more of the Silver Surfer)
Casino Royale (Daniel Craig is what the James Bond franchise needed)
Mr Brooks (very very good; just not as good as 300/Blades of Glory)
Grindhouse/Planet Terror (very old fashioned horror movie)

Average movies:
Knocked Up (run of the mill romantic comedy)
Disturbia (I was excited by the hype, but was dissapointed)
The Persuit of Happyness (yes that is how its spelt)
Sunshine (a great plot, but lost it in the middle-end)

The not so good:
The Reaping (very dissapointing)
Transformers (the camera was far too close to the action; bad direction)

Blades of Glory (better than dodgeball and Ron Burgandy)

An awful film, bored rigid after a few minutes.

300 (the best action flick Ive seen in the last few years)

I also liked this a lot.

Next (very underated movie; time travel with a twist)

I'm glad some other people liked this, as I thought I was on my own there, a very good film.

Mr Brooks (very very good; just not as good as 300/Blades of Glory)

About a thousand times better that Blades of Glory, I highly recommend this film.

300 and Mr Brookes - Agreed, excellent. Especially Mr Brookes.

Shooter - Heard of it on these forums in fact, but wasn't overly impressed when I went to see it TBH

The Fountain - it's actually not all that recent, but just saw it recently. Very odd film and I thought it was trying too hard to be all existential and crap. I'm slightly embarrassed to say I actually quite liked it though.

The Prestige - Reasonably good. Not too sure about the ending. Well, some of the ending was good, but part of it was just silly.

The Illusionist - Again I thought was pretty good. I picked the big "twist" pretty much as soon as it happened, which ruined it a little. And I'm not the sort who usually does that (I didn't even get the Bruce Willis twist in the "I see dead people film" until just about when it was revealed )

Blades of Glory - Meh. How could anyone say this is better than Anchorman!?

Shrek 3 - They're really running out of ideas here, milking it for all it's worth.

Ah, almost forgot a couple. Just reading the thread has reminded me of them:

Bourne Ultimatum (the 3rd one right?) - Thoroughly enjoyed. Despite them all being pretty much the same formula, I've enjoyed all the films in the series.

Resident Evil: Extinction - I always head into these with fairly low expectations and come out having had a blast. No difference this time. Silly end sequence, but overall good mindless fun. Doesn't hurt that Mila Jovovich(sp?) is in it. Rawr. (She needs to put on a bit of weight though, bit too skinny)

1 - not worth the cost of the DVD, 5 - average, 10 - perfect

I've thrown in a few older films to give you an idea of scores.

The Lives of Others - 10/10 basically perfect (and that's saying something)
Pam's Labrynth - 9/10 almost perfect, this is spellbinding (but definitely not a kid's film)
The Third Man - 9/10
Seven Samurai - 8/10 very good, worth watching.
Apocolypso 7/10 - good, worth watching (seriously brutal sequences)
Sin City 6/10 above average
300 6/10 - above average
Pathfinder 5/10 - average (but better than severance)
Severance 5/10 - average The office meets slasher brit humour comedy
Blade House of Cricton 5/10 average

Got to agree with NickK, The Lives of Others is a truly fantastic movie.

Bourne Ultimatum - Like others here, I enjoyed it despite its similar formula to the previous films.

Superbad - Utterly hilarious, it's been some time since I've laughed that hard at a Hollywood "comedy" film. It had me in tears during some parts.

Run Fatboy Run - I was hoping for this to be a Simon Pegg scripted flick but unfortunately discovered it was directed by David Schwimmer. Didn't particularly enjoy it, the gags were too obvious and I didn't find it very funny. The happily ever after ending smacks of something from Friends.

Shooter was the best film I’ve seen in ages, not too sure why though as it was nothing original. I guess I like sniper movies :p

If you like sniper movies, then watch Quigley: Down Under. I'm not a Tom Selleck fan, but I love that movie. I love especially the parts where he was able to hit objects/people that were so far away that you could hardly see them.

Blades of Glory (better than dodgeball and Ron Burgandy)

"If we went to a fancy dress competition as Batman & Robin, I'd go as Robin. That's how much you mean to me, bro."

I love BoG, it's on a par with Anchorman for me. :D

We watched The Heartbreak Kid last week, it was OK, funny in parts. Nothing special though, which is why I'm glad we went on Orange Wednesday and hence didn't pay the full price for the ticket!
