I bought Pro Evo last year on the 360 and loved it, however the longevity and addons seem to making me consider the PC version this year.

I have a 8800GTX and a 42 1080p LCD TV linked via DVI so I can play the game at 1920 x 1080 and use an Xbox 360 or Sixaxis controller.

Having seen a link posted by Weringo which demo's the PC version. I have to say that I am impressed.

I suppose I could buy both, after all we are talking £20 but what do you think is the best platform for this genre... PC or Console.

Is there as large a PC community that play Pro Evo as there is the Xbox 360 version. I like being able to turn on my PC/Console and being able to get a game at all times of the day and I have always been able to do that with the 360 version.

Please your thoughts would be appreciated!!

The PC version doesn't have the next gen engine. Looks awful. Much as I hate to say get a console version ;) Seems that they thought most PC#s wouldn't be able to run the new engine, so instead of just scaling it, they didn't give the PC version the new stuff.

Edit: guess i was talking fud, sure I read pro evo was the same as fifa with an old engine.

Very wrong the pc does have the next gen engine in fact this year the consoles are being ported from pc the whole game has been designed for pc this year.

Yup, C64's right - the 360, ps3 and PC versions are all identical this year.

It's FIFA that used the old gen engine on their pc version.

As far as the thread starter is concerned - i would say get it on PC purely because the modding capability makes the game much much better. Just make sure you use a decent pad - works well with the ps2 pad + adaptor or the 360 pad on pc.

I ended up deciding on the PS3 version, too used to the PS pad, and since I usually have loads of people round for tournaments, they all prefer PS pads.

I have just had both Demo's running on my screen. The Xbox360 through VGA the PC through DVI.

In terms of graphics the PC version is outstanding..
There is also no hint of the slow down that has been mentioned about the 360 PS3 version, and to reiterate it looks superb...

That however still does not make me sure enough to ditch the idea of getting the 360 version just yet. I would like to know what the Pro Evo PC community is like. I know that modding features and addons are much more accessible, but I want to know just how popular the game is compared to the Xbox version.

I work nights so its nice to come home from work and have a little blast on Pro on the 360..and I always get a game within 30 seconds of creating one, no matter what time it is.

Is the online side of things as good as the XboxLive experience. I don't really care for single player games, its all about online play for me.

Finally..Controllers..

Does the xbox wireless controller work well with the PC or is it better to go wired. Is the xbox36 controller the best controller for the PC that is out there?

Need all the PC PES fans to get in here and help me make my decision :) just try to be as unbias as possible :p

I don't think a wireless 360 controller works with a PC does it? Or can you get some kinda wireless adapter? Either way you're best going with a PS2 pad for Pro Evo. Feels much more natural. The 360 pad isn't the best for football games

Go for the 360 version, we'll most likely have another tournament soon and you won't be able to join if you've got it on the PC!

The two versions look pretty similar anyway.
