Nopehow can their fuel give any advantage anyway? do all the constructors not use fuel fro the same source anyway?
the FIA make a habit of ithow can their fuel give any advantage anyway? do all the constructors not use fuel fro the same source anyway?
Apparently they put "cool" fuel into the cars, which would reduce its volume this would mean more fuel to be added in a pitstop; enabling theoretically more laps and also the cool fuel would reduce intake temperatures and increase power.how can their fuel give any advantage anyway? do all the constructors not use fuel fro the same source anyway?

It should be interesting.
If Alonso leaves, then his "effect" should be removed from McLaren and they should be back to their normal (2nd/3rd best car/driver combo).
Another way of looking at it would be that next year the Ross Brawn/Schumacher effect will be totally removed from the 2008 Ferrari. 2008s Ferrari will be all Raikonnen/Massa's.
If Alonso stays (which is still possible), I think McLaren will be in for another strong showing next year.
Just wait and see, I guess.

Exactly. Look at what happened in both Hungary and Japan, Lewis benefitted a great deal by both of those decisions.
On recent FIA form it should be "drivers didnt know, lets just fine them and remove their constructors points".
The mechanical 'failures' of LH car may have been invented in order to ensure the Ferrari team win both the constructors and drivers titles for 2007.
After all the hoo ha around the spying allegations and hearing, it's possible some big wigs at Mclaren conceded the championship title, to negate a super massive law suit from ferrari corner.
Probably just another wild conspiracy though.

rubbish, if there is an irregularity with the fuel then it could easily have given the drivers an advantage, in which case they should be disqualified or dropped places.

Well they never docked Alonso and Lewis for using Ferrari setups so it's right, the current trend is punish the team not the drivers.
was it proven that they actually used the setups?
Oh really. Mclaren cheated in the eyes of the law and they chose not to exclude the driver points. If they remove the BMW and Williams points for their rule infringement then F1 is truely dead.
They have said one teams rule break is not the drivers fault then in the next stroke they remove the points for the fuel rule break and it will reek of a set up.
