Pretty much, did you read the FIA documents?
would i be asking the question if it states it in the docs and i had read them?

Pretty much, did you read the FIA documents?

was it proven that they actually used the setups?
Apparently they put "cool" fuel into the cars, which would reduce its volume this would mean more fuel to be added in a pitstop; enabling theoretically more laps and also the cool fuel would reduce intake temperatures and increase power.
I dont think so. In fact, how can one manufacturer use the same setup of another manufacturer and expect that to be a decent setup - it just wouldnt work. Each manufacturer has to find the best set-up for its own car/driver combo.
Completely different scenario, cannot be compared.
Is it also a case of allowing more fuel per second through the FIA regulated refuelling rigs?
To be honest, it really wouldn't surprise me at all. When you think of the amounts of money involved, I see it as possible if a little unlikely. I know of someone who's convinced that someone was paid to shoot out Mansells tyre with a rifle back in the 80's (86?) - that race where he would've won if it wasn't for that - all of a sudden his tyre exploded and put him out of the race. To be honest, they wouldn't be able to tell if it was or not, with the speeds these things happen at.The mechanical 'failures' of LH car may have been invented in order to ensure the Ferrari team win both the constructors and drivers titles for 2007.
After all the hoo ha around the spying allegations and hearing, it's possible some big wigs at Mclaren conceded the championship title, to negate a super massive law suit from ferrari corner.
Probably just another wild conspiracy though.

Of course it can be compared. They are saying its the teams mistake so the drivers got no penalty. Well this is no different.
Mclaren were fined a hefty amount for cheating. Whether you agree with that assumption they cheated or not doesnt matter. They were found guilty of cheating in a huge way. Yet the drivers were allowed to keep the points.
If they take away the Bmw drivers for this it's ridiculous. As I said in the Mclaren case it's a joke you can have the team cheating and not give the drivers a penalty.
Normally I'd say they should have the drivers points removed for the fuel but after letting the macca drivers off the hook they cannot take away BMW and Williams drivers points.
this rule break has a direct effect on how well the cars did. again i ask, was it proven that anything, from the docs that maclaren had from ferrari, had been used? if not, the 2 situations are completely different.
Dont care to much for all the politics. Im glad Kimi won over Alonso, not to dissapointed that Hamilton wasnt able to achieve it, because overall its been a pretty outstanding season for him, for a rookie.
Really enjoyed this season, thought it was brilliant, some great racing. Im really looking forward to next year, hopefully Hamilton will be just as great to watch.
Its impossible to say how much extra mclaren got from having ferrari information. If they were getting nothing they wouldnt have kept asking and taking it.
i feel the same, have always been a ferrari fan (though do like red bull and of course have support for hamilton!).
this season has been a great season, was much needed as a lot of people had got bored of F1.
was it they or him that kept asking? i thought only one person was involved.
No punishment for BMW and Williams![]()
