IT Manger Game

I cant get enough money for a new server. I want the 2k one and the network card but i keep getting new staff tht i gota give pcs to.

Also ive had 2 staff retire but all my desks are full of people and i ahve no items in my inventory?

I beleive there could be more levels because if you look at the rankings there is internation, nation wide etc. And it cant take long to fill up those rooms.


can you get more then one executive?

Yes, and the training for your main guy affects your performance too.

But as i said, level 2 seems to just reset all your stuff.. so its like.. meh

You get technology cheaper, more money for your department. I think the technology part of the tree may decrease server faults, or you can fix server faults quicker not sure which. You can learn things faster, motivate staff better etc.


Gord, how do you get to level 2?

Is it by maxing out the technology tree?

If it is, I've only got one left to do... which I'm leaving for a while.

I've got Itanium servers, a big work force and I'm managing it with one member of staff besides myself at the moment :)

Well, i had all of the research done for ages. 2 Itanium servers, 3 100Mb switches and loads of work force, and 2 employees apart from myself because i liked sending them on holiday.
 
Hmm, not had any reason to send staff on holiday, so I'm getting by with one merrily allowing me to train my guy almost all the time. She sucked to begin with, but has now got full experience.

Oh, i had no reason to send them on holiday.. i just needed something different to click..

Staff learn on their own the more they do jobs, you don't need to train them :)
 
Does no one else keep getting a bug where the game freezes? it happens when they try fix a pc sometimes. The money stops going up the time stops moving etc. ive had to restart twice. both times its been after quite a few mini games which ive done well in.



To get to level 2 do you have to have completed all the mini games? i cant do the virus thing. I keep getting stuck on the second level and im getting ****** off with having to keep redoing them due to the stupid bug.

I had done them all at least once, but after that got bored and usually just quit them.
 
What do you actually do on the mini games.

When i place the arrows where do i send what.

and the Virus games, how do I uninfect the comps.
 
My production is in the 90%+ so is happyness. I dont think my stocks are 200 though.

And does not doing that race mini game have an affect on you? where yu have to get the pc parts. it irritates me and i just quit it instead of doing it and it said i might loss my job :o lol

After quiting that my stocks havn't gone up for taht day. MMM linked?

As for the mini games. You ever palyed lights out? Thats the virus game. Basicaly you gota get rid of all the virus's by getting them into a corner. When you place a bomb it reveres all the pcs from infected to non infacted or the otherway round. You need to get them into a cornre or somthing and hit the bomb so you can only hit infected pcs and therefore kill the virus.

The hacker one with the arrows is the best i think as you just gota get the info to the server without the hacker getting it. When ever they hit a wall they turn right. Its quite easy onec you played it a few times.

Hacker is really easy, as is the new one for level 2.

For the Lv 2 one (can't remember the name) for a guarenteed win, make the first guess on one of the edges. Then when it gives you a number, count that many squared along the edge, going around corners if needed, and click. If you get a number, then either:
a) If you went around a corner, count diagonally the number you have (remember, diagonal = 2) and you should hit the magic square.
b) If it is on the same edge, count diagonally, unless its double the starting number, in which case go along the edge in the other direction.
And if you manage to miss that, you get one more click, and with 3 squares given theree is only one possible position for the error.

That sounds confusing.

Please tell me though. What are the conditions for level two?

also is it achualy nessasary to do any of the mini games? Ive started closing them but all of a sudden my shares went down quite dramaticaly. It went steady then peaked a lot then down again a lot.


Also in level two do you get new stuff ? new rooms etc? Id like to see whats on the higher levels but if its all the same im calling it quits i think.
 
I worked out a bug in the game to not have to get the virus after you quit the virus mini game.

Clickthe bomb then click on the continue thing. Ive done it twice in a row and ive not got the virus. Its a bit fiddly after clicking onthe bomb you just gota keep clicking that continue box till it achualy works as it takes a few clicks it seems because it thinks youve got a bomb. But it appears to save me having to sort out a virus problem :)
