Seems good though, I always thought the mk3's were rubbish, now I know better.

no matter what i do, it never gets less than 300 miles per tank. when i got it (and it was really ill) i couldnt get more than 240. so now that its running right again, i get lots of MPG making cheap to live with and its a fun thing to trash, so ticks most boxes

Nice MK3 Golf. I recently bought an 8V 2.0 GTi and was suprised as to how well they handle standard.. Outside of mine is tatty but it has done 185000 miles Inside is pretty damn good! And it runs sweet! Good old Golfs eh?

how does yours run? a very good indication is how many miles it does per tank. ones with issues can be as low as 240 miles per tank... when there running right you should see 300+

if youre local to me (southend/essex) i can put it on vagcom for you and do a diagnosis check

Mine runs fine, does heistate sometimes but was told the idle control valve needs cleaning. I get average 300 miles around town (32mpg av) and 400 miles when i visit my girlfriend.

its better when they are only oily and not gunky haha

tupac... sounds like yours is running tip top. youd be suprised at how many people live with a standard mk3 thats running ill and only doing 24mpg
