Best "Scarey" Film.

but by FAR the scariest thing I have ever seen is Woman in Black in the theatre. I encourage anyone to go and watch that film and not **** themselves. Seriously.

The bit where she comes through the window making that shrieking noise seriously **** me up!

IT - watched this as a kid and pretty much crapped myself.

Event horizon - Some poeple dont seem to click with this one? Fantastic scarey film and still underrated.

the most frightning film i have ever watched was scream at the cimema
was a good few years ago, i was smoking something at he time (yes i know but it was a long time ago)
i absolutly crapped myself had to leave the cinema and hide in the toilets till i felt better, was over 30mins till i went back in:(

Halloween
Halloween 5
Ringu
A Tale of Two Sisters
Shutter (Thai horror, being remade {read:ruined} by US now)

Apologies for AngusHiggins esq use of brackets there!

I wasn't a fan of the Blair Witch project either, I think a lot of people got caught up in the style that it was shot, and this caused them to get more engrossed in the film.

I personally found the characters extremely annoying, and wanted them all to get put in the corner :)

The best way to watch a scary film is in the dark with headphones on though  Also if you're naked you'll feel even more vulnreble

First time I ever watched The Blair Witch project...all on my own in absolute darkness.

yea, same, ive seen the exorcist, the grudge, the ring, and tbh when i watched tbwp it scared me more, i was younger though i guess, or maybe its just the stuff thats closer to reality is scarier.

ringu (its funny how the american version seems tame)
the fog (1980 version) - more scary when you then decide to take a dog for a walk and its foggy
I suppose maybe candyman - not now but it was the first time I saw it but I was younger.
Alien was scary but its kind of meh now
carrie - the idea is scary :)
and I can't believe no ones mentioned hellraiser :D

E.T.

Now, before you laugh your asses off, I was about 4 when it came out and the olds took me to see it. Couldn't sleep for days after that, lol.

Meh. Saw it twice and it bored me both times.

The parts in the bedroom with the 'ghost' got me looking away from the screen/covering my eyes, very creepy!

And yes, Shutter will most likely be ruined but I'll check it out anyway.

Have you seen The Eye? I didn't think that was particularly scary.
