EPIC FAIL! Intruder dies after throat cut on window

I'm not sure I find this funny, or pleasing. We don't know the circumstances the burglar was in.

Tragic way to die.

**RANT**

We do know the circumstances, he tried to break into someone else's home. The fact he cut his throat while trying to rob an old man is what I call justice... We have got to wake up and look at what is happening to our society, I know it took place in Australia but the same thing happens here and I'm referring to your remark "We don't know the circumstances". We have become molly coddled and feminine in our approach to dealing with people who break the law.

I couldn't care less about his circumstances, no one has the right to break into another persons home. I have experienced some real desperate times when I was younger, never once did I think to break the law or steal from someone.

Having your home broke into can be a very traumatic experience, especially if you are in your home when your being robbed. Women particularly feel more vulnerable and frightened.

Lets stop hugging the hoodies and start banging them up for a long time in jails that they will have nightmares about and never want to return too..

**SORRY BOUT RANT** (but I mean it)

Win!

If he hadn't tried to break into someone's home to steal something, he would still be alive right now.

Flip-Flops also aren't the best choice of attire for scaling walls.

Thats pretty comical the way he fell and slashed his throat, but i dont think he should have died, yes he was doing a wrong action, dosnt deserve to be dead...

Feminine?

So thongs actually mean flipflops? But it says he was 'only wearing flipflops'.

I'd be guessing here but I rather suspect that there was an implied part of the sentence "only wearing thongs (on his feet)", if he was entirely naked apart from a poor choice of footwear then I think it would be more prominent in the story.

No, the thief shouldn't have been there and if he hadn't been the chances are good he would still be alive but regardless of this it really isn't a good way to go. Well done to the householder for attempting to keep him alive.

Bad that he was attempting to rob a house but death is never a just punishment.

Credit to the man for trying to help the guy.

I have some sympathy for the robber. Assuming all he did was rob, he didnt deserve death for being just a thief. If he was violent, sexually motivated (why was he wearing just a thong or just slippers depending on the meaning of the word?), he's no loss to society so I wont be shedding any tears. But if he wasn't, he did not deserve to die and this is indeed tragic.

I am never happy when I learn of some one dieing. I wouldn't be happy if Adolf Hitler was exexcuted in front of me. I would feel satisfied and pleased that justice was served. Happiness is a distinct emotion and I find it perverse that some people might react to a death with it. But then perhaps they dont fully understand the meaning and are using it for lack of a better word?

Agreed.

It's baffling that some people think death is a fair punishment for breaking into a house.

So he should get sympathy for killing/injuring himself when doing a criminal act?

If he wasn't being a prat in the first place, then this wouldn't have happened.
