Whos ditching 8800 for new rev?

I'm sat here twiddling me thumbs now, got nowt to do in this crap machine and dare not move away from the PC incase it comes out :p
 
What is the latest you can order from OcUK to recieve it the next working day as I really want one of these tomorrow.

Gibbo will have thousands upon thousands of cards, some of the cheap branded ones may sell out but the whole lot won't

The GTX/GTS was mega hyped, did they sell out?, No.

Maybe... but they cost a hell of a lot more :)

Only reason I want to get in early, is so that I can get in early enough for it all to be delivered tomorrow.

I do think they will be busy and have loads of orders today.

Errrm there is only 50,000 wordlwide.


Come to think about it looking at the cooler on the 8800GT, it looked ugly at first, but now its kinda looking good, I remember when me dad bought an old Volvo 240GLT and I was like 10 at the time, I started getting in a tantrum because it looked ugly but now I think they actually look quite awsome especially when done up, maybe paint the stock cooler and add some bling to it and it'll look mighty fine :D.

poor argument, nvidia suprised everybody by siting on a pile of 8800's. did that happen with the 2900's? 7800's? any other releases?

And Gibbo has been known to get large chunks of stock before launch, more than any other competitor

Also there is goinng to be 200,000,300,000 of these cards produced before Christmas, so stop getting your knickers in a twist.
 
I'm sure we'll be fine - but I think I'm going to be in a bit of a panic, trying to look at which one to get before hitting the buy button...prob just go for the cheapest though.

I feel a bit like I'm on the line for the 100m sprint.

We will be told "there are not many cards available, so be quick".

The price will reflect the fact that overclockers will have more stock than others, and you will be able to get your hands on it today.

Next week it will be on offer and £20 or so cheaper, as happens when any new card is launched, people will then whinge and moan at the price dropping so quickly.

This is business, anyone buying today at the higher price, please do not moan next friday when the price has dropped in line with people with little or no stock.
 
that is why i will wait for two weeks and then buy the cheapest available. the difference will buy me cod4 :D which is my the whole reason for getting one.

Or you can buy from very well known site today that will refund you the difference if they drop the price within 30 days of your purchase.
