"The year’s biggest PC game has just gotten that much closer to hitting store shelves. Crysis, Crytek’s next-generation first person shooter for the PC has gone gold and will be on store shelves everywhere November 16, 2007.

“We are extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish with Crysis,” said Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek. “We wanted to push the boundaries both visually and with open-ended, non-linear gameplay and we believe the end result delivers that vision.”

The current single player demo, available in DX10 and DX9, has given gamers their first taste of the immersive, non-linear Crysis experience. Highlighted by Crytek’s open-ended level design and the game’s Nanosuit gameplay mechanic, which challenges gamers to analyze and approach every individual encounter before acting, Crysis delivers a completely new and refreshing FPS gameplay experience.

Of course, the single player demo also features the stunning, award-winning graphics powered by Crytek’s revolutionary CryENGINE 2. Assistance from key partners such as NVIDIA, Intel and Microsoft have helped make Crysis one of the most anticipated PC games of all time.

“Crytek and EA are rewarding PC gamers with the world’s most technologically advanced video game,” said Roy Taylor, vice president of content at NVIDIA. “Our programmers are intensely proud to have helped Crytek push the boundaries of interactivity and immersion. The game was developed and tested on NVIDIA, and we recommend GeForce 8800-Series graphics cards for the best experience.”

Hopefully the quad support is better in the full version. Though im gonna assume the sp demo was probably based of the final code so more than likely some sort of patch is in order.

Woot. Can't wait to play this non linear game.

Is your gfx card clocked? My pc was crashing in loads of gaMES til i found out it was my bfg oc2 gtx. I lowered the mem clock speed to 975 and no more crashes! Its got a lifetime warranty so will phone them to get it swapped

It will most likely have one of those 1st day patches for for the game and i think will improve quad support

Yes its running at 630/2000. No crashes at all here. Try making the fans run at full speed with ntune.

TBH kind of bad news (for me anyway), because its very doubtful SLI will be supported on game realise especially since Nivida said SLI will be supported later with a patch. So I figure the games will come out I will buy it and complete it before the patch comes out :p:(

Also I doubt all bugs are fixed seems to me EA pushed them a bit.

But I really hope all problems are fixed :D

Amazes me 9 replies only.... to perhaps the biggest and most anticipate PC game for this decade :P

Its either that or people are getting ready to start a We want quad core and 60fps+ pertition !

1) This is great news and I'm really looking forward to it.

2) People will moan that their top spec PC will die - but we all knew this and I'd rather Crytek released their current engine than a castrated version just to please the n00bs :p

3) Erm...I'm really looking forward to it :D

Aint it.... id rather have the option to see it scale to beyond its original engine.

And we all frankly knew it wouldnt run on super max settings yet still moaned :)

Better play it 1st and then moan I reckon...

Heres hoping for quad core support and even faster Nvidia crysis drivers :)

Am I the only one not very excited by this news? Maybe its me getting old, but most single player games I play these days I just seem to go through the game hoping the end is around the corner. I'm repeating hl2 before I get the orange box, but even though its ages since I played it, and I loved it the first time, I just seem to be going through the motions. Unfortunately I'm one of these that has to complete a game, unless its really, really crap.

I think the last single player games I really loved were on the N64, Im still a fan of multiplayer though.

Seen as quad hardly makes a difference I think I can sleep soundly knowing I don't need to upgrade now :)
Oh and Ive palyed the demo through like 5 times (when I really should be doing coursework..) so I can't wait for the full game!
