Fair shout to Gerrard, Ballack, Beckham

Hope he learnt something from the kids.

I've met Nigel Martyn before. He watched me and my mates play football years ago. He picked me out as the worst player

ive scored a few past Martyn, helped that our training ground and home pitch was where Bristol Rovers training ground is :D

PELE IS OVER THERE NOW!
What a legend.
Tempted to kayak over to St Marys

And it's big news, we've made it into Sky News, Daily Mirror and Now Magazine :p

Thats incredible!

Very nice of them tbh.

I seen Joe calzaghe the other day at my B&Q, people were asking for autographs and he was abruptly telling them no, hes fed up of doing them, then went to the burger van close by, demanded tea and a bacon butty, no please or thank you.

Just goes to show.

He demanded?
Are you sure he didn't just say "Tea and Bacon Butty" when the guy asked "What would you like?".

As for signing autographs, you never know, it might have been a bad day. Celebrities don't always have brilliant days you know.

Ah - just realised, the reason why they're filming here

It's because we have the smallest, FIFA recognized football league in the world - 2 teams
They play eachother once a week, and both share the same ground!

As soon as i'm home from work, i have all the beckham ones, and will have Gerrard & ballack some time this evening!

You obviously missed the article in the papers last month about Scilly being the healthiest place in the country ;)

Very impressed with that. It's good to see them doing something that -whilst it's a small gesture in itself - will make the kids' day (and probably year!).

A firend of mine who lives in Middlesbrough told me that Juninho used to play football in the street with the local kids, they used to knock on his door and he'd come out! He was a top lad too.

yeah was just gunna mention juninho ,was well known for playing footy out in the street and at the end of the road with local kids

wouldnt expect anything less from the little guy tbh , nicest guy ever .
