shame the screen is so small I was looking go for a cheap laptop aswell :(

HI there

What is an ideal screen size for a laptop too? If you go too big it starts defeating the object of been a light and portable device. 14/15" does seem the most popular when it comes to sales volume as 17" models tend to be quite a bit larger and heavier making them not as easy to transport.

That's actually not a bad price. I have no idea about the current range of mobile processors. Where does this sit power-wise?

Also 1gb ram is a bit iffy- I'd stick XP SP2 on it :p

Hi there

I believe its quite powerful, certainly plenty for a laptop anyway and I may be wrong but I think its a core 2 DUO if I go by what the name suggest which would basically mean it has plenty of CPU grunt.

1GB of RAM is fine for Vista, we've tried 512MB and that was fine with Aero interface disabled. Fair enough XP would be quicker but we now sell SODIMM and upgrading to 2GB is very cheap at the moment and easy enough to do. Just see the OcUK SODIMM section. :)

NEVERMIND, was a core duo rather than core 2.

HI there

You will be looking at a slightly different spec. There are several different R20 models, what I know if that for this particular model with this specification we are the cheapest.

If you have found an identical specification that is match for match and in stock the same as mine please email the link to me at [email protected] because then we shall buy them from there too because the 20 or so competitors I know off are all £30-£70 more than OcUK.

15.4" is what I would class as just right 14.1 is just a tad to small for me.

never mind still a bargain though. mind spam up if you get cheapo 15.4 or 17s

It had a T2350 rather than the T5300, meaning it is a significantly different laptop with different architecture. Sorry bout that.
