Never heard of that before, but it's clearly illustrated. I've never actually had a problem of the headset to synching only to another channel, even on 2 original controllers (day one controllers), but I do sometimes get audio through my speakers for a split second.

I got a controller with my xbox, which is a launch day, but bought in January, where i bought a new wireless controller.
Now, i got stuck for some time with one of my controllers, and it just wouldnt sync.
It does however work with my other controller, although i dont know which is which.
It works with my other one but it's got a dodgy shoulder button. MS really seem to be crap with their hardware, and from the mess of the PS3 controller Sony aren't doing any better either

The wireless headset doesn't connect to the controller, it connects to the console.
It connects via the pad.
It'll connect whether the pad is on or not.

When you sync the headset it assigns itself to a controller, but it refuses to be assigned to my old controller.
Yes it does, but it connects via the pad, hence the syncing issues. You can't actually use it without the pad and the controller both being on the same port.
Either way you get the point so stop derailing the thread.
