PGR4 vs PGR3 vs Forza2

I played it with the wheel. It you compare it to something like GTR or LFS it's inaccuracies stand out and make it feel more arcade than simulation.

Not really, the tyre physics are very good, lots of people think LFS and GTR2 are arcade as well however. What did you think was wrong with the physics then? The weight transfer was fine to me, tyres seemed to work no wonder considering the data they had. I play rFactor and GTR2 weekly and I did not think Forza fell behind them too much when played with a wheel, the braking was the biggest mistake but other than that the actual physics of a car were fine and handled as you would expect depending on the car, front wheel drive etc all handled as they should, same with the rear wheel drive, what sort of laptimes do you do in GTR by the way?

I guess Im the only person with this view but I prefer PGR3 to PGR4!

Forza is good, have put many an hour into it but they should have had more tracks. Can't really compare Forza to PGR.

but I thought the career mode and car garages were MUCH better worked in PGR3.

I agree. Also the cockpit views in pgr3 were also miles better - Half the cars in pgr4 I cant see a thing. The cockpit views in pgr3 also had funky reflections on the windscreen which is missing in pgr4, but thats just nitpicking :p. The bonnet view is a great addition though.

In order, PRG4 > Forza2 > PGR3

PGR4 is mega. It's everything PGR3 should have been but wasn't. I had all golds on PGR3 within a week. I still have a way to go on PGR4.

Forza's single player gets a little tedious towards the end, but if you want a proper online race with damage and requires skillful driving, then Forza is the only choice on the 360.

PGR4 is brilliant. I wasn't really using the 360 much but since I got this I've been playing it every night. Just finished the arcade mode on all silver, gonna go through it again now going for golds and platinums. If you liked PGR3 you can't not like this :)

PGR4 is a great game, and much more playable than Forza 2 imo, not that into sim racing games. The only criticism I have is that the menu systems aren't really as clear and crisp as they could be, there is always too much going on in the menus and just before a race starts, thought the previous PGR games had better presentation.

I think the Arcade and Career modes of PGR4 are way to easy, the handling is flawed, the scoring is dire and the bikes are just plain weird... that said its great fun, especially online with a group of like minded racers, get a room full of numpties and its pathetic.

The MAJOR fault is the stupid built in "Cat and Mouse" mode which turns you into a ghost to stop you blocking the mouse... WTH is that about, the whole point of that gamemode is to slow the other teams mouse. Id have preferred to see more emphasis given to "Time Trial" type racing rather than Kudos scoring, i suppose all these points can be patched or helped with DLC, but. i doubt they will, i assume they will maybe just release a new track, 6 new cars and charge 150points for them.... Im yet to need to use 80% of the cars already in the game half a dozen new ones wont improve matters.

Another thing with the Kudos, why do we need it? ive bought everything in the Shop and ive got 600k Kudos and its growing fast, why?

If only PGR4 was on 360 :p

I loved PGR3 so much when I played it at my mates, it made me to buy a 360.

I have to stay away from PGR4 to save some money...

Most play stop the lead Mini only, so I guess the ghost is to stop you pinning a certain Mini to a wall for the entire race, which let's be honest would kind of ruin the game if each mouse was just pinned to a wall by each cat and ends in stalemate, do you not think?

I tend to play with the 1 cat holding the oppositions Mini and the other 2 cats pushing/protecting their Mini... so its basically up to the 2 cats to defend against 1 cat so the Mouse should never really get pinned.

If it's multiplayer. Forza wins hands down with ease. I find it very hard to pick up any racing game after playing forza. The level of tuning is unrivaled. Once the single player is finished in PGR there is nothing left to do. With forza you have online tournaments going up every week. new DLC being developed all the time and competetive racing teams and more importantly all legit racing. The glitches in PGR4 are just crazy. People who say PGR is better either a) suck at driving because it's a lot harder b) can't tune their cars so get handed online c) Can't find friends to have a decent online room.

Or e) just not stuck up elitists.

If it's multiplayer it has to be Forza2?!
I'd say PGR3 blows Forza2 away for multiplayer, so PGR4 is bound to be better, surely?

Sorry for starting a new thread - I didn't really like Forza2, not sure why. I do like PGR3, but how does PGR4 compare to it?
I also didn't get on with the bikes in TDU.

Better/worse? Worth buying?

PGR4 is ten times better than PGR3, i just recently..today actually decided to play PGR3 and see what differences there were and PGR4 is a massive masive improvement over PGR3. I have to admit, playing PGR4 then going back to PGR3 just shows what a pile of crap PGR3 was imho that is.

Forza2 is great if you like sim type racers but PGR4 i found a complete joy to play...not as difficult as PGR3 was and the kudos system in PGR4 is much much better than PGR3. Only reason why i have PGR3 is because i got it with the M$ wireless wheel...which i should really get around to selling as its just gathering dust in the corner of my room:p.

So glitching cars, wall riding, car bumping, lack of any tuning, a lack of a tuning marketplace and a lack of a painting marketplace what so ever is your idea of a superior multiplayer experience? What ever floats your boat!
