Doherty's pet cat took cocaine

There is no way coke would be left laying around. You lot seem to think that money = slackened attitudes to drugs. I have a friend who earns 92k a year and he is still very tight around his kit. Lines of coke can be _very_ easily misplaced or accidently moved too, you don't get it out unless you're gonna take the stuff. Got a feeling that very, very few of us has ever seen the stuff in reality, let alone take it to know that it's something you just don't leave around like confetti.

I should also remind everyone that Doherty has injected heroin into an incapacitated girl friend before, it was page one news on some of the tabloids at the time, photo and all. Cats with cocaine is target practice for him :p

yeah but 92k is a hell of a lot different to a few mill...

I think that story is a load of rubbish to be honest.....

Why would they even bother to test for Coke in the cat ? (bearing in mind a drugs test like that costs a fair bit of money)

And who is to say all cats don;t give a positve for the cocaine test anyway ? Has anyone actually tested a cat for coke before ?

Its not like they test cats for drugs all the time. A blood test for Iron deficiency / low cell counts etc would be standard enough, but a blood/urine test on a cat for drugs would not be something a normal vet would carry out. And an extensive chemical test on any liquid substance takes considerable time and a specialist company.

Theres no way they would easily be able to determine the cat had traces of coke in its blood using a standard vet test....

Outrage over a kitten but at the same time you say that someone is scum from what u read in the paper. Drug users should be treated as people who are suffering from an illness (unless they rob old ladys).

I suspect... or rather, I HOPE that this would be accidental. Wouldn't take much coke to to get an animal the size of a cat that wasn't used to it sick, only needs a trace, and the average addict won't waste any drugs, but they won't be too careful about cleaning up the inevitable leftover either. Anyone with a cat will know that those beggers could find an atom in a haystack if it smelt interesting.

I've generally been of the opinion that the police are just spawn camping Doherty, wait for him to get out then arrest him again... I mean really? what's the point?

But if he's started hurting an innocent animal even if by accident then it's time a judge gave him a long term rehab order or jail.

well, coke addicts don't usually have pets

They don't?

People who take a lot of coke tend to be a markedly different type of people to those who are hooked on heroin in my experience.

i.e I don't know anyone who does heroin, but I know a fair few 'normal' people who spend every weekend with their face in a pile of nosebag

Didn't want to start a new thread, but has anyone seen what the Sun seem to have caught him doing?

I can't beleive the guy tbh, love his music, but he's just throwing it all away. He's going to end up dead in the not to distant future and it's all his own fault.

Drug addict in taking drugs shocker!

Was just after he apparantly had finally got off them. He obviously likes them too much and just doesn't care.
