Anyone else picked up any stupid injuries that they have no recollection of doing whilst out & a bit drunk?

Went out saturday night with a group of friends & noticed my foot kind of hurt a lot towards the end of the night, got in the taxi back to my friends house & the pain got quite sharp when i moved my toes.

After getting back to his house i took my shoes off to find this -

I still have no idea what i've done to get that :(

I'm starting to think drinking is a bad idea!

I had a mate that was so drunk that he fell off a wall and only realised the next morning that he had broken his ankle.

Got drunk a while back a whilst I was taking my clothes off as I was sitting on the bed I fell off. I woke up the next morning and was in some serious pain. My shoulder was killing me.

My girlfriend told me no wonder it hurt. I crakced my head on the wall as I fell and banged my shoulder on the floor. I was in agony for a week.

I have since been drunk and started to take my clothes off whilst I am on the bed and not sitting on it. if you get what I mean.

I did once find my hand was tingling for a couple of days. It was very mysterious and slightly worrying until a vague recollection of running down a hill (a very small shortcut home) covered in stinging nettles kicked in

My friend got wasted and in a freak break-dancing accident he did something to a ligament(I think it was this. It was bad, and to his knee).

He then tried running, and walked home.

When he woke in the morning screaming, and then rushed to the A&E. He couldn't walk properly for a couple of months.

No i remember them. The craze of bush jumping at uni has left me with a few scars, as well as dropping a bed on my foot in halls of residence has left me with a big toe that always clicks. No idea how or why I was lifting a bed to be able to drop it.

Happened to a friend of mine - although he slipped on some icy steps on the way into his house, was last January IIRC, and woke up with a painful ankle the next morning to find it had been broken in 3 places. I struggle to think how he made it up the stairs and into bed!

I didn't something like that, was play fighting when drunk, but he went to far and twisted my foot. Couldn't walk for 4 weeks (stuck in the house getting drunk) at all and took several months to heal. Me being me, never went to the doctors. It's fine know..

Ah, good old bush jumping!

I've jumped off a stupidly tall wall, screwed my ankle and proceeded to rave for 5 hours straight. Bloody hurt in the morning. That's about it :)

Thats the thing, it aint like a was smashed & cant remember much, because i can, i can remember limping off of the dance floor thinking WTF is my foot starting to hurt for, but it was more of a burning feeling at that point than pain, would have had a look there & then but it was too dark, can't remember anything happening to it.

I'm guessing i've taken a stilleto heel to the toe though as theres no way i coulda stubbed it with the shoes i was wearing with them being quite hard soled, i'm still limping now & walking with most weight on the side of my foot (which is now making my calf muscle ache), think i'll be ok by the weekend as it's miles better than it felt on sunday morning, feels uncomfortable more than painful now, still a nice black & purple camoflage design though.

Silly injuries? Lets see!

Broken wrist, dislocated elbow, fractured collarbone, three broken fingers and various other minor niggles like cuts, bruises and missing teeth. Also lost 2 pints of blood too.

Cause? Jumping over a 4' wall only to discover a 20' drop onto a carpark the other side!

sprained wrist,
broken toes
pulled muscles
bruise's everywhere
chipped teeth
i could go on,

im one of more sensible people i go out with.

10 Years ago I went out for a birthday party in Liverpool and got absolutely ratarsed.

I awoke the following day to an immense pain in my ankle. I had twisted it really badly.

Apparently, there were 4 steps leading down from the pub we were in and I thought in my drunken state that I was Superman. I had jumped forward with arms out in all glory and hit the last step and my friend told me he heard a crunch and I went down like a nympho on crack.

Had to have a week off work.

Hmm I only ever hurt myself when sober. (Tibia 3 places, collarbone, occupital thingy (ma heed ;) ) scaphoid, teeth, all my toes (that was a cow... no really a cow stood on me) scapula and more punctures lacerations and bruises than I could possibly list.

Drunk, I just sort of crumple to the floor / off the chair / down the stairs etc etc without a scratch

I'll start off with a disclaimer of under no circumstances is the following a good idea.

I was in Finland about two years ago now and it was common practice to cycle home from the pub after a skinful, not a good idea to begin with but this particular night I could barely walk let alone cycle. Regardless of this fact I proceeded on home since there was no other way I was getting back, this is where it gets fuzzy but the best guess is that I collided with one of the exposed bridge pillars across the near freezing river below - I was discovered by a mate who then helped me home and dumped my bike in the bushes. Next morning I woke up to a remarkable amount of pain and a football sized bruise on my left shoulder which took a couple of months to fade and a few nice grazes on my face (the one below my eye has only just disappeared in the past few months). What made it all better was that I had to meet one of my lecturers for the first time quite early the next day while looking like I'd been on the wrong end of a horrific beating and I was still trying not to be sick.

My left shoulder still clicks and will probably never be the same again but if that is the most serious thing that happens to me then I consider I've got away pretty lightly. :)
