Thoughts on the new GTX?

Having spent £320 on a GTX, I think I will skip the next generation. Especially since Crysis, the best looking game now, runs pretty decently on it

there has to be more refreshers as at the moment the gfx card market has stopped dead due to the GT.

Remember 7800 - 7900 - 8800

there was little time between the 7900 & 8800, someone might know the exact time scale. THe 8800 wiped the floor with the 7900 so...

with only one game to take advantage of at the moment I'm seriously considering waiting for more news on 9800 before I commit my hard earned cash to another middle of the road graphics card purchase.

i hope that having a p35 board and only pcie 1.1 doesnt hold back the new cards (not the GT, like the proper next gen cards)

As long as it's x16, it should be fine for bandwith. The main advantage of PCI-E 2.0 is that it can provide more power through the slot on the mobo.
