Me either, I'd argue that it is 'common'.
th 2 options are that the next card is dealt or the one used in Vegas, which I think better, is that the card is returned to the deck, the deck reshuffled and then the top card dealt

With nut flush draw and nut straight draw with two overcards you'd be a bit daft not to call anyway.
not if you knew the card coming up wasnt going to help though... and thats the problem lol...
In a casino I'd take any edge I can get. in a friendly game I'd own up and redistribute chips.
If you burn it and continue it affects your odds and gives the other player an unfair advantage.

Punishing the opposition rather than the dealer?![]()
In a game last night
pot is about 8k after turn, me and one other left in
other player goes all in for 4k and is obviously ahead
I have nut flush draw, nut straight draw and 2 overcards so probably have pot odds, I suppose there was always the option of the board pairing to give him a full boat
as I am thinking it over the dealer goes to deal the river, someone pulls him up before he turns it over but I catch a glimpse and am almost certain it is a club to give me the flush
what should I have done, come clean and have the card burnt and risk another card with reduced odds, keep quiet as I was probably going to call anyway ( whether that is relevant is probably another question )
thoughts ?
Wait what did you do and did you win?
opposition should have asked to have the card burnt tbh.
I didn't feel guilty as I was going to call anyway, I suppose a more interesting question is what I would have done had it been a bad card![]()
If playing a Mate then i would call Bum deal & get All the cards dealt again.
