More importantly, did you win?![]()
In a casino I'd take any edge I can get. in a friendly game I'd own up and redistribute chips.
If you burn it and continue it affects your odds and gives the other player an unfair advantage.
I would have played on, but thats me.
So, what did you do in the end?
That means you burn the card you have seen. Play the next one. then burn the next card, and play another one, that way its either going to be a split pot, or one of you wins 2-0. its a fairer way of doing it as when you use people as dealers, mistakes happen.
well, he gets two bites at the pot, instead of one and knowing he cant lose. gives both players left in a fair chance.

Again, depends what they are playing for and if they are mates really, but end of the day, id have to tell someone as id feel i was cheating the other guy. Unless the other guy was a complete spoon and had been winding me up all night at the table...
Except it gives Rotty a worse chance than before (through no fault of his own) he saw the card in question.
that is just making rules up as you go along though and would set a dodgy precedent
but the guy hasnt commited everything untill the turn, the river is then half dealt in error and retracted.
pot is about 8k after turn, me and one other left in
other player goes all in for 4k and is obviously ahead
the OP then sees that he'd hit his flush and thus calls. Makes an easy decision when you know that you're gonna hit![]()
The guy had already gone all in before the dealer turned the last card. So the other player HAD committed, it was Rotty who was thinking it over. So the other player had already committed his chips regardless.I have nut flush draw, nut straight draw and 2 overcards so probably have pot odds, I suppose there was always the option of the board pairing to give him a full boat
as I am thinking it over the dealer goes to deal the river, someone pulls him up before he turns it over but I catch a glimpse and am almost certain it is a club to give me the flush
You mean you never played the 2 hand rule before? its a common rule to use when playing for cash, well, it is for us.
never heard of that rule

Which is what I said.
