A few kids on my course won't stop going on about how amazing Halo 3 is. If I say something bad about Halo 3 (E.G. it's over hyped and just another FPS) I may as well dig my own grave with the abuse and evil glares I get from them. It's pretty pathetic. If I creamed over Pro Evo 7 like they did over Halo 3 I'm sure I'd be labelled a freak in my group.

Was a big fan of Halo 2 online back in the Xbox days, didn't think MP gaming on Live could get any better. Stopped playing it when I got the 360 though and got stuck into other games, COD2 mainly. Was really looking forward to the third one purely for the MP, but after playing COD2 it just feels too slow and 'clunky'. Just can't get back into it, and to be honest don't think I want to. Especially with COD4 round the corner.
trade in halo 3 for CoD 4.

CoD 4 is just so much better than halo 3.
Agreed, I have enjoyed the SP and co-op a great deal, but don't find many people playing online with open games when I join. Apart from first few nights.
Still gotta complete the co-op on heroic at some point this weekend.

I decided to play online so booted up my first online game only to be greeted by some 8 year old american kid laughing at me for it being my first game. That was the end of my Halo 3 experience. Went back to playing Forza 2 and Vegas. A lot less kids to worry about on those. I also agree. Halo 3 was a waste of money but it was my first Halo game i played on a console so i got bit by the hype bug and i actually quite liked HALO 1 on the PC.
It's kinda funny though. Watched Resident Evil extinction. Got the RE bug and played RE2 again on my Wii. A game made nearly 10 years ago still gives me more fun then HALO 3....

I said that at the time Halo came out, that most people would jump ship once Cod and the rest of the nov/december releases came out. Leaving just the hardcore fanbase.
That said I think the days of Ocuk nights on games are gone compared to the early days. In the early days pretty much everyone had PGR3 and Graw so it was easy to host evenings or weeks of entertainment.
Now there are so many games and so many new ones each fortnight the Ocuk community moves on fast
Not to mention the modders who have finished the game and moved on before it's even in the shops COD4 is this weeks game of choice for 8 more days, then it will be assassins creed then mass effect for a while. Every time you send an invite to play COD4 late november you will get a message back saying they are too busy trying to finish Mass Effect

Well I've borrowed halo 3 from a m8, and I am liking it in SP, look great, MP is pretty good, but these days there is far to much hype on all games!
This melle attack is a bugger though, can be frustrating but you have to change your tactics to counter it. Im a hardcore causal player - i.e all the drive but not time and that letting halo 3 down for me.
How many times have you read that COD 4 is going to a monster game - but only till assassins creed is released. Doesn't make sense. forget the hype play the game! It amazes me how some people have the time and money to be playing all these game all the time! I got COD4 on pre-order and i will enjoy it, Halo 3 will be returned and I may rent it later to complete the SP - achievement points - nice to get them dont play around getting them- play the game.
