I have a US console, hate to break it to you, but this demo rocks.

The water effects are probably the best i have seen in a game. I can see it playing a big part in this game. The deeper the water the slower you move. And when you get submerged, his grey shirt turns dark grey like it is wet and starts to dry off. Gorgeous so it is.

Good, I am pleased to hear some positive feedback about the game, alas it makes me want to play that much more. Any framerate issues or tearing?
 
Only person on my list playing this is JUMPURS and his works fine as he has a USA console.

I am so glad he is banned from these parts...And I hope his console breaks and Sony don't honour his warranty.

In USA it is 20th Nov, why be a chump it is region free and cheaper from USA. Pre-order it now, you will get it well before UK release, and probably before thee measly UK store sees a working demo.

If the whole game is like this then it should be good. It is very like playing a movie. The character animations are great with the over the top jumps (your arms and legs swing as you leap and catch on a ledge)
Standard guns, pistol, AK-47, Shotgun. The sounds are very good too. It is very atmospheric. I hope it has a nice deep story.
It is naughty dog though, so i don't think we should have much to worry about in that respect.
The cover system works quite well. Press a button to stick to something. You can press the same button to roll between cover, quite like Gears of War with the set pieces.
The level seems to be the E3 demo level from what i can remember of it.

Downloading it now and I've got a US machine. Took some doing, the US store must be getting hammered. I'm concerned though. Could this be the start of things to come, or is it just like the Def Jam demo that was just incompatible in some way? Wonder if the actual game will be region locked too ! Might have to get the US copy to be safe.
 
There's been demo's previously which haven't worked on PAL machines... Def Jam Icon springs to mind. I have a feeling this is a bug rather than intentional region locking, especially since there is no actual message saying this game doesn't work on this region of console.

I've got Tekken Online\Lego Starwars and CoD4 to be playing so it's not so bad.

has anyone tried downloading the hoops demo to see if its a region lock or just a bug

was waiting for this demo for a week ,this is a big slap in the face , like being dumped by your girlfriend

i was also gonna download tekken online but not going to bother now

might leave it downloading overnight and start praying ,
maybe emailing sony will help my depression
