i'd put that down to the petrol been a more reliable car in general, what failures were these?
mileage wouldn't be a worry a modern tdi is good for half a million milesif looked after
The 1.9 is good for that kind of milage if looked after. A doubt the 2.0 TDCi lump would last so long, even though its a pretty good modern engine, there just not build to last like the VAG engines.
its a nice driver for sure, was under the impression women didnt like TD's tho, the whole unpredictability (in their eyes) of the boost puts em off.
My mum cant drive diesels properly, always drives off boost, then complains when there is a big delay when pulling out of junctions/roundabouts in 2nd.

She likes driving my Fabia vRS so shouldn't have a problem.
The other option is give her the Skoda and get and ST220!
Very nice, not too keen on the wooden effect on the steering wheel but everything else looks great. Best colour as well.
did some '03 plates come with facelift bumper / grill or has that been put on after?
