Got this game... but can not play it atm 
Installed fine, all loads fine, but when you select to start a new single player campaign the game will begin to load then crash to windows with a C++ runtime error
Any help on sorting this?

Hmm turning off Vsync made the game far better for me FPS wise and also Vsync turned on doesn't even prevent tearing!!
Liking this very much, played the 360 version to death but this is just better all around, more servers are popping up now too.
Had a blast on multiplayer on one of the new maps to the PC version and it was great, curb stomping for the win!

Had this for the 360 and while i thought it was great on the 360 this looks i think fantastic on the pc on my rig in my sig.
Playing @1680x1050 max all, DX10, No AA and its virtually around 60fps most of the time!. Brilliant stuff!!.
I do like the way my xboxlive gamertag intergrates with this aswell so i can see what my friends are playing on the 360 at the time of playing gears on the pc.
Really glad i bought it even though i have already played and finished the 360 version ages ago!.

Thats true but if you enable v-sync via your gfx cards menu not the in game menu it works then as i have had it enabled with no tearing while playing gears on the pc.(looks amazing @60fps most of the time with v-sync enabled).
Ah I'll try that then, I heard doing it via the nVidia CP makes it get locked at 30, will look much better without tearing.
I've noticed that Dx9 with no AA is barely any better than Dx10 with AA also, performance wise anyway. Not too many jaggies in this game either I don't think.
Just installed and crashes within minutes with a reference to "wargame-g4wlive.exe".
Going to read through this thread now to see if it gets a mention. Any solution?

No, it's free. (for the 10th time!)
Does this for me, although luckily the game is minimised to the taskbar. I just ignore the error and click back into the game. Runs fine.
