Forceware 169.09 Beta

Didnt mean to mislead anyone but they worked for me.:(

I am having trouble getting it to run in 64bit mode though , any ideas?

64bit mode works fine in the demo, although i noticed that if you were trying to play the warezed full release, it dosent work in 64bit mode, perhaps thats your trouble.

Are you sure its the demo you are playing, as 64bit works fine for me here in the demo.

It is in violation of forum rules...

A signature may contain one or more images but they must fit within a box with maximum dimensions of 400 x 75 pixels (width x height) and with a maximum (combined) file size of 20k. Images containing mostly very large words or animated .gifs will not be permitted. You may also add 1 consecutive lines of normal or smaller text directly above or underneath the image with no spaces inbetween image and text. If no images are used then up to 4 consecutive lines of normal or smaller text is permitted. Do not pad out your text lines with blanks lines. A line of text is defined as having a maximum length of 400 pixels.

Its the demo, why do you think that?

Only increase ive noticed, is explosions dont affect FPS at all... i blew up 7 cars all at the same time (in sandbox) and the fps stayed at 40...but the actual fps is the same as always.. im hoping a patch will increase it a little

Well according to Guru3D these drivers are supposed to enable SLI in Crysis but I'm seeing none of the gains that the release notes claim... In fact I get the exact same fps with SLI enabled as I do disabled at 1680x1050,1920x1200 and 2560x1600. My other games are working better in SLI though so I know its at least working.

And the good news on ForceWare 169.09 is .. drumroll ... it supports SLI for Crysis.

Beta driver for GeForce 6, 7, and 8 series GPUs.
Recommended driver for Crysis.
Several game and application compatibility fixes. Please read the release notes for more information on product support, features, driver fixes and known compatibility issues.
This driver:

Adds SLI support for Crysis
Fixes a water reflection bug in Crysis
Adds Control Panel anisotropic filtering support for Crysis
With this driver, SLI will deliver 40-50% speedup over a single GPU for Crysis. In addition, Crytek will release a patch in the next week or two that will improve SLI performance further.

Thats the whole point, i can play it from the bin32 folder, but not from the 64bit one.

in the demo

Thats why i asked what I asked, as 64bit works in the demo but not in the full version.

If you can get the 32bit one to run, but not the 64bit one, it would indicate you are playing the full release and not the demo, which is not known to have any problems. I was only trying to help you, but you are extremely rude, rolling eyes and being sharp with people. Maybe this place is not for you.

To be fair I can't play the demo in 64bit mode, it just crashes straight away. 32bit works fine.

Edit: nvm, these drivers seem to have fixed that problem for me.

Unless you need SLi I wouldn't bother with these, had crashing in GoW that I didn't have with the 169.04's so i've gone back...

Listen dude im sorry, But first i get some comment about a shift key then told off for having 1 line too much on my sig and then told im using a pirate version of crysis when earlier in the the thread i said it was a demo. As for the roleyeyes, look at that little green face, its not being nasty at all.;)

Actually further to my previous comment about SLI I stand partly corrected. Using the 32bit exe SLI is definitely an improvement, I get 15-25fps @ 1920x1200 very high everything, however under 64bit using the same settings I get 10-15fps, same with a single card.

Not tried these drivers on my desktop but they work great on my m1730 (vista 32).
Suspend/hibernate work with sli enabled, which is a first.

Performance is quite a bit higher in crysis, now playable at 19x12 with high details with playable fps, 16x10 runs nearly smooth.
fps is now constant in a few other games and a bit higher too.
Seems these 8700m gt's aren't that bad when paired with a half decent driver. :p

How much of an improvement is it over the single card? It'd be interesting to see if SLI is now working in XP...can anyone confirm?
